[Basix]Closing

Day 1,181, 15:23 Published in Malaysia USA by Dr. Straatman

Basix Corporation will be closing until further notice. I apologize to the shareholders, but with the constant dropping of prices in the market, profits are sinking lower and lower. Grain was selling for 0.16 MYR just two or three days ago and now it's down to 0.10. I only sold mine for that price because profits were negative and I needed to get them positive before the Dividend period ended. I'll say it again, company owners really need to get together and set limits to how low they will sell their products. All this undercutting is going to do is throw the economy into disarray even more. The price of grain should not have dropped 0.06 MYR over the course of a few days, that's a massive drop that hurts everyone. If everyone wants to sell grain at 0.1 that's fine, but that needs to be decided so salaries can be adjusted accordingly. I've got stuff being piled on me IRL, some of you may have noticed that I've been very quiet over the past few days. It's because I've been essentially two-clicking since Wednesday which means I completely missed out on the drop of grain prices. For about three days I was paying my workers assuming that I could sell my grain for about 0.15 MYR and ended up only selling for 0.1. It's a good thing the other companies did so well this week, because otherwise there would probably be no dividends this period.

I'll be paying dividends in the next few days for the period that just ended, but I have fired virtually everyone from my companies(I'm sorry) and won't be reopening the companies as Basix Corp until further notice. Hopefully during this time, more players will start realizing that the economy is fragile, especially in our small country, and massive changes like this aren't good for it at all.

This also counts as my resignation as MoDI, I simply don't have time to do what TeMing asked of me. Infinity has the same access as me so I'm hoping he can step up to the task. If he can't, there are also plenty of other players that know enough to do the job, although you may have to go outside of eMY to find one willing.

PS. Dividends should still be higher for this period than for previous periods due to the profits made during the first half of the week and the profits made in my non-Grain companies.
