[AMP] Our Biggest Problem
Israel Stevens
My Fellow AMPers,
It has been an interesting term to say the least. Just prior to Congressional elections, we retired our forums and consolidated on the National Forums. This gives us ’1-stop-shopping for much of our eRep related activities. Now party, Congressional and Executive posts can all be done at once. And for those in the United States Armed Forces, even your MU forum is in the same space. With the activity levels slipping across the country, it made sense to consolidate in one location. Now there is one less forum you need to frequent.

One of the main things I wanted to accomplish in my term, was taking a hard look at what this party has become, and ways that we might be able to fix it. There are serious problems within the party. Our lack of leadership on the National Stage being first and foremost in my mind.
There have been nearly 60 Presidents of the United States. Of them, only 3 were elected as members of the AMP. We have existed for nearly a year and a half longer than We The People, yet we boast the same number of Presidents.
Perhaps that speaks to the difficulty of becoming President. But if we expand our lack of National Leadership to include Secretaries as well, we have to go back to September to find the most recent AMPer to hold a Secretary level position. (It was Code-Y and he was fired for inactivity midway through the term). I’m not counting Treasury for this argument, do to the lack of the position actually doing anything.
This is not a recent problem for us. We have struggled with things like this for nearly our entire existence. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t dissect it, nor attempt to change it.
To this end, before my term ends there will be a survey going out to every member of the party. I encourage you to fill it out and help give us insight into the people that make up this party.
Help us, help you.
Lastly, I am running for Party President again. I have unfinished work that I would like to see completed.
I would also like you to ask me whatever questions you have, so that I may address them.

k there also was no AMP half that time Palestinian

I remember when AMP was good, then you messed it up. Nice to see you are trying to correct your problems.
Remind me what I did again?
YOU COME AT DA KING U BEST NOT MISSSSSSSSS
Scan a list of Israel Stevens described "problems"
- I'm not on it?!?!
Remind Israel that he was offered the Chief of Staff position but declined it due to the cabinet "not having enough fresh faces"
- Remind Israel that he was asked to give me the name of any "fresh face" and that I would gladly provide them with an administration job, but that he wasn't able to list any
Remind Israel that Evry is indeed a member of the AMP and is Secretary of the Treasury (which should indeed be counted as he needs to keep track of all our shekels and would also likely be tasked with any currency minting we decide to do) this month and also dSoS
- Reminder Israel that Alexander_Auctoritas (dSoD), potato134 (dSoD), and Mr. Swagg (dSoI) are also members of AMP, and that while they may not be Secretaries this month their contributions are still important and should be noted
I fully support your efforts to craft the AMP into a better party, but don't you think the way forward is to lead by example?
I could be CoS anytime I want it. The problem isn't my ability to get a cabinet job, it's that for a long time I've been the ONLY person to get a cabinet job, save Ms Evry.
Remind Oblige that Israel Stevens is fairly prominent, and that I don't think his declining of a cabinet position he's held numerous times is preventing him from leading the AMP by example, rather it speaks perhaps to feelings on the other end of that exchange. Not that I know enough about the AMP's situation to comment reasonably on the content of Israel's article, but this reply is a bit self righteous (or I suppose "remind Oblige this comment is a bit self righteous" would serve as 'better' rhetoric) when Israel is addressing a serious problem (and Evry, though wonderful and sexy, holding the SecTres position for thousands of years doesn't really affect the larger picture of a lack of AMPers, aside from the usual suspects, actually holding important government leadership positions)

-You're a national problem, not a party one.
-There aren't any fresh faces in AMP, which is the whole problem. I'm not giving you names from other parties, you do a fine job of sucking up to them on your own.
-You know as well as I do that Sec Treasury isn't a real job. Just stop it.
-You gave deputy jobs to literally everyone that asked for one. Those are all great people, but do they have PDB access? Is their advice considered before decisions are made? Are they voices of leadership within your cabinet?
Israel you must be kidding. I am the best COS this country has ever had. I am the undisputed champion. You are a cruel joke that will never die. Find your filth and settle down, let the dust bin of history do its work.
I hope you actually do what you've said in this article.
Pro-tip: It'll help to actually focus internally for a month instead of focusing your energy to elect a Country President that you can control.
Your original comment was better.
It's good to see some writing, from this guy.
I don't even care if RGR shows up. It couldn't ruin things.
Voted.

Yeah, I've always wondered about that... why do you guys do so badly in Congress elections? Any theories?
