My name is Aaron Mark Daniels and this month I am running to be the President of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland for the Fifth Time.
Some light listening.
First of all, Who am I?
For all those new and younger players, and those who wish to forget, let me give you a quick review.
I am Aaron Mark Daniels, self proclaimed socialist, owner of the longest erep article signature award. I have been the President of the Workers' Rights Party for most of the months between now and April 2015.
I have been elected the country president of the United Kingdom four previously, and I have served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs for the United Kingdom, according to my wiki page from October 2015 to June 2017. I guess if you do a job well you get stuck with it!
After that I went on work excursions to the IRL United States, came back and carried on with my degree not really bothering too much with eRepublik.
Since then I have noticed that we have had many months of exactly the same boring old thing. You can argue that this stagnation is beneficial as we are in no serious trouble and we sit making money because no one is dumb enough to attack us whilst Croatia are in the picture. We had months of JamesW. And the way it looks like we are about to have several months of Spite with no change on the immediate horizon.
This is where I come in. I am still working on formalising my final position and plans. But I would argue that for the last three months, there has been nothing new for us to sink our teeth in to. Now I admire a lot of what the current administration has done. Particularly their efforts in the Ministry of Education and their New Player Foundation. These are things I will continue to uphold if the guys involved in the MoED will continue under me. I also admire that the current administration has brought some fun back into the game by creating a division. It has created an establishment and an opposition, something our time in eUK was severely missing. It made people log in again to actually argue/troll people. It made people like me pay attention again.
They did a good job in these regards.
However, there is only so much of the same a man can take.
In a move that will surely please this guy, I plan to leave the continent and expand.

It has long been tossed about the idea of an "Around the World" Training War. I say, since we are stuck in a training war constantly anyway, why not make it interesting?
If elected, I will appoint government ministers responsible for the upkeep of our domestic programs, and I will along with my government and Minister for Foreign Affairs plan a route, and start talking to all the countries needed. In a move that will hopefully encourage us to talk to new countries and governments never talked to before (Something I loved the most in my time in eRep originally) we will approach them with our idea. We are going to pick a direction, and TW our way across the world, eventually finishing back in the eUK.
It may not work, but by god at least we can say we gave it a bloody good go.

If you've been MoFA for years, you'll know that a round the world (or any sort of) random assault is doomed to fail at the first hurdle. The consequences for getting it wrong can be bad - look at Greece and USA.
I appreciate we've had a lot of "more of the same" but if your only idea is to commit suicide to please Wayne of all people then I question what new ideas you are bringing.
I didn't consult Wayne before attempting to run for CP. And like I said I like a lot of what you guys achieved. I plan to keep with a lot of that.
And in the past that's the case. I would have been the first one to say that it would be an awful idea. I often have. But given enough planning, given enough cooperation and making it fun and interactive, dropping articles as we travel saying hello to the local communities, I think it is achievable. If not, then no one will say it was for lack of trying.
Nobody is going to be up for you riding through their country. Where would you even start? You face allies or superpowers in both directions. If you've actually thought about it, tell us which of them you'd go to first.
Turkey, Latvia, Germany, Czech, Poland or Ukraine, then it gets a bit sketchy, we'd have to talk to Romania, and if not go under them. Then it's about negotiations and communication with forigs. The other way, Ireland, negotiate with Serbia which sounds impossible but you know at least someone gonna try. Then canada, bulgaria, Russia. Much easy to go to the east first.
The point is you aren't gonna get anywhere if you refuse to try. And I refuse to let another month go ahead where the CP is elected unopposed. Fair enough if you win, I admit many times here I think you've done a good job of continuation. But I want to offer an alternative. A choice.
Yeh I appreciate that, but it seems like your only policy that differs from mine is to do something that won't work from the start. Interfering with France and Belgium's TWs isn't going to work and we'd lose all our MPPs if we hit Ukraine or Poland or Germany. Serbia are not going to permanently lose their Canadian presence to accommodate our plans.
There are some options for a serious war, which I'm happy to explore if there's genuine interest. But I'm not going to make promises I can't keep.
It's unfair to imply I'm making a promise I cannot keep. All I promise here is to give it a damn good go. If I can't keep it it will not be from lack of trying.

Not opposed to a good romp for old times sake but a TW with Canada would be ill advised. Long term TW with NL in their regions and rental agreements with Romania and Serbia would make that difficult. Canada likes a full congress and wouldn't want to limit our food bonus. Any interference with our rentals would likely get RoSe involved.
