[AMD4CP] A New Dawn

Day 5,764, 08:58 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by AMD.

Good evening my fellow citizens.

I am writing to you today to inform you that I will be running to be the next country president of the eUnited Kingdom.

I will get onto policy and some main points for the month shortly, but I would firstly like to address two things.

Firstly, I would like to give a fantastic and overwhelming thank you to Mr Huey George, who announced last night to congress that he will not be seeking re-election. You were a steady pair of hands to steer the ship for the phase of the eUK that needed you, and I thank you for your service and contribution. I am delighted that he has agreed to stay in my cabinet should I be elected, as Deputy Minister of Finance for Monetary Market, doing a role that he indeed loves and is passionate about.

Secondly, I am aware that I am quite a divise figure amongst some individuals in the eUnited Kingdom. In the interest of us all moving forwards together and cooperating through these upcoming uncertain times, I want to extend an olive branch. All is forgiven on my side, and you have my word, here publically now, that any ill will that I held against you is gone. The slate has been wiped clean and I look forward to working with you towards the dawn of a new era of the eUK. This can be done. Myself and Appleby recently reconciled and have been working together on things towards congress. I extend the same courtesy to any of you who feel wronged by me, for the good of the eUK I invite you to work with me towards a better tomorrow. You will be met with kindness, acceptance and cooperation.

This month for me boils down to the uncertainty that is about to come. Huey has been performing effectively a one man government for far too long. It is not a sustainable model with the increasing workload that we keep demanding of our elected representatives. The fact is, no one but Huey George knows exactly how much work he does behind the scenes, we may not even know the scope of it!

This veil is about to be lifted. Huey is graciously working on a comprehensive handover for anyone who does take the role on. So step one for me this month will be working towards re organising the structure of governance into a coervice and efficient cabinet team. None of the time consuming jobs should be expected to be done by one person alone, because we are all human beings at the end of the day with other outside responsibilities. I want to be a stable pair of hands this month to build upon a future where others can take over the role, and we don't just expect one person to singlehandedly do everything. Cabinet shall become exactly that, a defined cabinet with roles and responsibilites.

I plan to work with congress to make some decisive actions on the foreign affairs front. We need to take a decision on the Northern Ireland Question which is currently being debated in Congress. I will work with this extensively with my Minister for Foreign Affairs, as well as looking into the possibility and seeking out the benefits of joining a defensive alliance versus our current situation of TWs. Pros and Cons of both will be assessed and explored as options for us as a community and a country.

At the end of the day, that is what we are. Community. Every single one of us is here because we want to be. We shouldn't be at each others throats. Healthy debate should be encouraged, not mindless party politics and trolling. I truly believe we can work together for the betterment of eUK society.

I will be approaching individuals to help me in this cabinet, and I also implore any of you to throw your hands in and help out. Please message to apply if you are interested in a cabinet position, and I will try to find something for you!
The more active people who want to help in this re structure the better.

Onwards to a new age!

And thank you for the opportunity.
