[AM4CP] Vision, Passion, Purpose

Good Evening eCanada,

This evening I am writing to you, to announce my candidacy for Country President and make the unorthodox move of announcing my Executive Team. On October 5th, I will be asking you to vote to send me to work for you on a larger scale than what I can accomplish as a Congressman and Citizen.

The theme of my campaign is a familiar one. It was the theme I followed when I enjoyed my first term as President. Vision. Passion. Purpose. These three tenets are for me, the 3 key ingredients required in composing strong and balanced government.

Vision is the ability to see beyond where you are today. To see beyond where you are going to be tomorrow. The ability to look beyond our current situation. To look beyond our current alliance and allies. To see events around the corner, before they sneak up on us and surprise us. This is the Vision a Country President requires. This is the sort of Vision that my government will bring.

Passion is the core fibre of what drives us to play this game. Passion is what gets us up in the morning, and motivates us to log on and invest countless hours into what is ultimately a simulated world…a browser game. Passion is what keeps a government driving forward and striving to better the game for those who seek to play it. Without passion, a country and the game experience as a whole, stagnates. Player growth and retention suffers, and eventually, a total loss of interest sets in.

Purpose is the ability to move strategically and accomplish the things that need to be done...even when those things are occasionally distasteful and uncomfortable. Purpose is making the hard decisions that often need to be made by a government and its leadership team…The Executive. Purpose means doing what needs to be done, when it makes sense, even when you know that the results you are seeking may not be immediately tangible.

The above three tenets are broad and no one person can hope to fully accomplish all three while holding an office with as much responsibility as that of Country President. For that reason, I have recruited two Vice Presidents. These two men have, over a great deal of time, proven time and time again, that they are both leaders and impact players. I have chosen these two men to help me accomplish my goals of providing Vision, Passion, and Purpose. Without further delay, here is your Executive Team:

Vision - Acacia Mason – As the Country President, and therefore the defacto head of state, it will be my role to lay out the Vision for the country over the coming month. It will also be my role to unveil that vision for you over the course of my campaign by returning to the days of old, where campaign platforms were articulated carefully and laid out for examination and criticism by the voting public. Transparency and open debate will be the hallmarks of this administration. You can expect a series of articles laying out the planks of my platform in the coming days.

Passion – Rylde – I don’t believe there is a player in the game today who plays with the passion that Rylde does. From his earlier days running Brucks Cancuks/The Crimson Order to his hard hitting passionate tanking, to his time as Country President. Often imitated, Rylde is never duplicated. The level of energy and commitment he brings to the game is contagious. One need not look any further than his latest endeavour…The Shit Disturbers…to see that he has enough drive and gumption to fuel an entire MU. For this reason, I have asked Rylde to be one of my 2 Vice Presidents and closest advisors on policy. With Rylde in the Executive Office, you can be sure there will be no lack of Passion from the Government. Remember, “Fortune Favours The Bold” and I am counting on Rylde to bring that energy with him.

Purpose – Addy Lawrence – If you don’t know who Addy is, you have likely been living under a rock. His resume of success is far too large to capture in this paragraph. Multi term PP of the CPF, founder of MOO, multi term Country President, founder of COI, multi term Congressman, multi term MoF, Military, Social, and Economic wizard, there is little that Addy has not accomplished in this game, and I would hazard to bet there is little left TO accomplish for him. His track record as a builder, love him or hate him, is without question. Addy has a level of drive that only a chosen few in this game seem to have. Addy joins the Executive Office as one of my Vice Presidents, to bring that same level of sound judgement and commitment to the Executive. He will be counted on to provide his expertise as a builder in this game.

eCanada, this is your Executive team. The three of us will be leading using a triumvirate approach. In the past, Vice Presidents have been more of a figure head position. Not so in my Government. I will be counting on these two men, to help me make decisions for eCanada. Their fingerprints will be all over the plans for the coming month. A close friend and mentor once told me, “Surround yourself with people who are smarter than you, and you will be successful”. This time around, that is exactly what I am doing…surrounding myself with people who are smarter than I am in various aspects of this game. In the end, it will be eCanada who benefits from this decision.

In the coming days I will unveil the entirety of my platform and the full Cabinet team. In the meantime, please feel free to PM me your suggestions and ideas. Its time to make eCanada whole again!
