[Ajay] A Comparison of Conventional Politics

Day 1,925, 03:18 Published in USA USA by Jason Welsh

This article is intended for educational purposes.

Here is the real-life equilivent to what normal polititians do to promote their political parties.

"Hello Mr. Foreign dude! I see you just came from Ellis Island and you now have full citizenship from the US Government! I know it can be hard starting off in a new place, so why don't I give you some money to help you get started here? For food and an apartment and stuff.
By the way, you seem like a really interesting person, I think that there are some people in my political party who you would be really interested in meeting! You should come to that rally next week and see how you like it!"

Here is something a little different that is known to be done by someone called "Ronald Gipper Reagan." People tend to call him "Ajay Bruno" though because that was the name of his first account in this game (it was banned because he broke the rules of the game). This is what he does.

"Hello Mr. Foreign dude! I see you don't have citizenship to the United States yet. What? You want to blow stuff up here? Funny joke, lol. You seem like a cool guy so I'll tell you what, I'll pull some strings and get you past Ellis Island so you don't have to go through that background check stuff, how's that sound?
By the way, you seem like a really interesting person, I think that there are some people in my political party who you would be really interested in meeting! You should come to that rally next week and see how you like it!"

This process is a problem for pretty obvious reasons, and because of this process being overused, A TON of political controversy has sprung up in this game about Ajay doing it.

Here's the big question though, Why did I put this article in the "first steps in erepublik" section so that new players would see it? Simple: Because here is what normal politicians do.

"Hello there! I see you're new to the game. I bet you can use some help starting out here! Why don't I give you some money to help you out and I'll even help you try to understand some of the more complicated parts of this game!
By the way, you seem like a really interesting person, I think that there are some people in my political party who you would be really interested in meeting! You should come to that rally next week and see how you like it!
Also, just a tip, don't listen to anything that Ajay says, he's trying to overthrow the US government!"

...And here's what Ajay does!

Also, just a tip, don't listen to anything that those other guys say, they're running a tyrannical scheme and running an unfair government!"

And that's pretty much the whole of it.
