[AB4CP] Presidential Platform
Adam Beck
As was announced yesterday in this article, I announced my intentions to seek the high office of Prime Minster of Australia. I will now focus on my plans if I am elected. First, I will focus on the economy of Australia.
TAXES
Taxes are the backbone to government functions. They are what fuel the mechanics of government, including MPP's and wars. It is my belief, however, that we should be taxing only consumption, rather than productivity. So, as a campaign promise, on my first day in office, I will propose to the Senate a restructuring of the tax structure, decreasing all income taxes to the lowest value allowed by mechanics (1😵
. With income tax bringing in on 7% of total revenue in a day, (Source) it is a loss that can be sacrificed.
FOREIGN AFFAIRS
When I first announced I was running for Country President, Australia was in high times, fresh off some monumental battles. A lot has changed since then. We, until only recently, were wiped out. We have since gained back New South Wales. I had planned, if I am elected, to spend this month strengthening ties with our allies. I will now spend this term, along with my Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister, work with our allies to help us regain our beloved nation, and possibly more.
DEFENSE
The Australian people are not stupid. They understand regaining our regions from Indonesia will take time. The people and I also understand that we will need help from our allies to fend Indonesia off our homeland. Not until then will we be in a negotiating stage with Indonesia.
This concludes my policy platform. Stay tuned tomorrow when I announce my Cabinet.
Comments
Taxes arent the responibility of the CP, thats senates job, the CP can advise on that but ultimately its their job. the CP fiddling with it is just a waste of time.
low taxes are a vote ploy at best. how do you plan on lowering taxes and winning battles against our enemies without draining our treasury? you cant. you are promising fiscal irresponsibility
and when it comes down to it the taxes are the way they are because we need them. you cant win a war on 7% and 1% taxes
So how exactly are you going to do that in regards to foreign affairs? everyone says 'we will strengthen ties" but what are you actually going to do?
Adam is a good candidate. He doesn't do it for the lolz/badge and isn't so spiteful that he would let Australia burn to spite his opponent. I would give him a go.
Re taxation I don't like your chances of that policy passing the Senate. We will need funding for MPPs and the ADF. Probably just best to advise of your general intent and see what you can negotiate through the Senate. I put the original tax motions for current levels and am pretty happy with how the economy has performed.
Wouldn't mind him having a go at the top seat.

How many countries run on 1% income tax, excepting the ones with huge internal economies? The answer is 0 last I looked. Even 5% is low compared to other countries.
Trying to run an embattled country constantly under attack by its 2 neighbors and RW'ing regions practically every day, on the lowest income tax in the world just doesn't make sense to me. Voters may like it, but they won't be living in a free eAustralia for long with that plan.
(Not trolling, just saying)
Wally, did you even care to read my explanation for essentially eliminating the income tax? It is less than 7% of the total revenue per day. If we can't survive without 7%, which is equivalent to a little more than 1 Gold per day, then we have our priorities wrong. Besides, with more money in the economy, VAT taxes will see an increase, thus in the long run balancing the "losses" out.
You mean the one that is entitled "macro economic estimates" that you just posted out for everyone in the eWorld to see the "estimates" of our economic situation?
You're point is? So what you are saying is Indonesia can now use "Estimates" against us in war? They can use estimated tax revenue as a battering ram on the battlefield? God save us....
1. they are estimates only. 2. It was published in the senate for eAus citizens eyes only.
You still fail to explain to me the harm I have caused by "exposing" estimates. Anyone with a brain could come up with estimates like this. Its called watching the treasury on a daily basis.
If you don't understand it on an intuitive basis, there really isn't any use in explaining it further. Do you see anyone else, anywhere, publishing country economic data from their senate forum to the entire eWorld? Who knows if there is harm or not, but its just plain common sense. You don't see the Indos or the Kiwis doing it and I know the USA has a policy against do this type of thing.
elect him or else
My apologies Wally for trying to be accountable. Next time I use statistics, I'll just throw random numbers out that sound good. I'll just have to hope people believe me, since it is a stupid to cite proof to your statements.
All countries of the real world publish the economic data for all to see. Why should it make any difference? Whats the big secret? The major gold and military attacks are all financed by privately funded gold...
Kick ass bro and good luck in the elections!
Or else what SMF93? 😃
