I've read a few articles as of late that talk about trying to get IRL Japanese players into eRepublik, so why not start with a quick look at the forum. A quick look at it from the perspective of someone who's just thought about playing and doesn't speak English.
With the aid of a gaussian blur you can see that there's very little to entice a player to join. Have a look yourself, just log out and have a look.
Now I know that there are only a few people on here that can write Japanese, well that's how it seems given the low activity in the 日本語 forum. I also know that most of us are quite busy IRL, but let's at least take a crack at getting some more Japanese on that front page (things like the welcome, the instructions on getting a citizen mask, something to indicate that they'll be welcome).
Anyway that's my thought for the night. Now to get back to work.
