This is the first installment of Tepwnzor Today, my new Sunday News Show dealing with current events in the eWorld of eRepublik.


The shows focus is to bring an informative source of news and opinion to the community of active eUS players. My shows will have no opinion or slant, instead, the questions I ask will be for encouraging debate and discussion on the topics of the day. The show will include interviews and panels of eUS and eRepublik leaders and will take place on IRC at #Tepwnzor_Today, 8:30PM eRep Time on Sundays.

Tonight's panel discussed a range of topics focusing on the Libertarian Presidential Debate, the Presidential Race, and for lack of a better term, MM2Gate.


All participants gave permission to have this conversation posted on eRepublik


Part of the conversation got cut off at the start. This is a technical difficulty which will be resolved by episode 2. It literally was a very small amount and I have filled it in as best I can


Tepwnzor: Thank you all for coming to the first installment of Tepwnzor Today. Tonight's panel includes Dennis McVicker, Kyle321n, Illithian, Kazeal, and DanielCD. Lets jump right in.


Tepwnzor: Do you guys think it reflects poorly on Gaius Julius for showing up late to the debate? I'd like to premise this with the fact that we all know how demanding a job POTUS is on real life time and it is necessary for the President to be online a significant amount of time. The floor is open.


Dennis_McVicker: I think it shows a lack of follow through, especially considering he never even responded to the invitation sent out

Tepwnzor: Do you guys think it will play badly? Irregardless of whether he should have or should have not been there.


kyle321n: Honestly i don't place much weight into the debates, it only allows for the party to possibly select you

Tepwnzor: Well Dennis_Mcvicker, what kind of affect do u think this will have on the Lib endorsement then?


Dennis_McVicker: Personally I think it changed some people's minds in the LPSc

Dennis_McVicker: well we haven't made an official announcement, so I'm not sure how appropriate it would be


Tepwnzor: well who do you think took it?


illithian: tep, have we announced the uip primary winners

Tepwnzor: No we haven't


Dennis_McVicker: I think HR performed a lot better than I personally expected


illithian: i agree actually


kyle321n: i wasn't surprised by his preformance


illithian: HR did well


kyle321n: he's a good debator but his trackrecord doesn't bode well for him


Tepwnzor: Kyle321n, how so?


kyle321n: The invasion, he retreated some tactical regions, ie: Washington state


Tepwnzor: Does the panel think that past events like WWIII will swing this election?
I'm skeptical that citizens will be aware of things like that


kyle321n: well and then there's always the treasury thing from over a year ago


Dennis_McVicker: I'd agree with that


kyle321n: but no one seems to care about that


Tepwnzor: same thing, is it too long ago to make a difference? illithian, kazeal?


kyle321n: well honestly it should always be remembered


illithian: hey

kyle321n: would we want to elect navy to a position of power?

illithian: I definitely think gaius will have some vote bias a lot of people know/remember him so.


Kazeal: HR has a bad character
It shows in his past actions
It shows in how he and the admin team on eUSforum deal with stuff
I think that past actions are not isolated
He is the same person, he will continue to do the same types of things

Tepwnzor: but active players in my view have very little affect on how things go

Dennis_McVicker_: that said it will come down to which parties endorse which candidates


Tepwnzor: they're significant but not as important as two-clickers

I don't know how many people saw it
but who do we think came ahead on the foreign policy questions?
especially as it applies to Eden relations


illithian: well they had similar ideas for the most part

DanielC😨 it does seem however that Gauis would want us to completely reconcile with EDEN
which, after these past few months, seems like bs

DanielC😨 about a month in India may have changed my views, but to me, EDEN and PHX are just different sides of the same coin

Dennis_McVicker_: I think HR's policies were conveyed much more coherently

kyle321n: I'd like to be in no alliance if possible


DanielC😨 poland and spain wanted to maintain empires, romania had an empire, and serbia and hungary want to control


kyle321n: but we're never going to break out of the 2 alliance system


DanielC😨 its the entire attitude of both alliances now
neither is taking a moral high ground


kyle321n: if we can get back into the alliance that's winning the game right now that'd be best
and as to moral high ground, let's be honest


DanielC😨 tbh, if it wasnt for other areas having resources, they'd be completely obsessed with fighting in Europe


Tepwnzor: somehow I wonder how morality finally became a factor in foreign policy given "game mechanics first" but that's another discussion entirely
