After seeing Pirates of the Caribbean 4, I have reason to believe most of the Irish are decedents of Captain Jack Sparrow. They always seen to be able to wriggle out of stupidly tight squeezes. For those of you who have not seen Pirates of the Caribbean, here is what I mean by escapes:

So eventually, the Irish won't be able to re-take their land, and hey won't be on the map.
