[1 August] Happy birthday Switzerland!

I will start this article with an explination about its purpose. It all started like 6 months ago when an ideea struck me, why can’t erepublik do some missions for every country like they did for eIndia ? It would make the game more fun and maybe bring a little joy to every country in the game .. so I wrote a ticket about this .. the response came, a friendly one but of course nothing happened. Time passed and a few months ago (like 1-2) another ideea struck me again … why can’t I do something special for every country if the game developers don’t want / have time for it… so I waited to have more free time and today I am starting the series : a little article for every country on it’s birthday (or in some cases on their most important holiday of the year) !

Purpose and lenght of the series : the purpose is doing something special in the game and showing you can do this without money, just using time and imagionation … also would enjoy to take my 1st MM medal so if you like it , subscribe .. if you have opinions or like to help PM/comment. Lenght of the seris should be like 1 year, want at least 1 article for every country , after this year we will se what will happen next.

1 august and it’s semnification

From what you already guessed , 1 august is the national day of Switzerland. It’s semnification is the celebration of the Old Swiss Confederacy formed after an agreement between the 3 cantons : Uri , Schwyz and Unterwalden in the year 1291. If you like history and I arose your intereset, you can find more information on the internet , in books or ask the native swiss people from the game.







Most popular legend

I should say this is the legend of William Tell(Wilhelm Tell), a legend that shows the marksmanship of this hero that saved him and his son from execution after shoting an apple off the head of his son (Robert) in a single atempt. But there were 2 arrows mising for the quiver , guess why! The tail doesen’t stop here it seem but I invite you to read the rest of it from other sources then this article , it is worth it.

That sums up my 1st article of the series , special thanks to Rican, SendoM and Iron Punch for the help (in the short time they were given). The article is writen from their answers and from some sources on the internet.

I am also waiting for a message from the swiss comunity to the rest of the eworld, if they will give me one.. it will apear in the article shortly.
