[WTP] So, You've Decided To Join We The People

Day 1,958, 21:26 Published in USA USA by Talostastic

Many of us have decided to take the important step of joining a political party.

No matter what party you join, they all have their benefits and their meta-game tools. But they can write their own damn articles, this is for We The People.

The first question you should ask yourself is "Why have I joined We The People"? There are many answers to this question.

In my own words, We The People is full of people with different skill sets, and different commitments to the game. Two-clickers, fighters, politicians, and every stripe in between. We won't ask you for any more than you're willing to offer, and we will accept whatever you want to bring to the table.

Mazzy Cat, our glorious current Party President, puts it quite simply almost 100 days ago, Because I genuinely enjoy my time there. My work is noticed. My talents used in a way that makes me happy. It really is about each individual, but in a way that is what's best for the party. Friendly people. The ability to say what you think. And trust me.. some people have some rather interesting things to say.
Tonight, when asked about it, she had these wise words to add;
Here at We The People, we're not afraid to be the frontrunner on an idea. Regardless of the challenges it would present, we want, nay, CRAVE new ideas, and the discussion that it brings.

Hale26, our Councilor, was a lot more colorful with his answers.
[22:52] <&Hale26> Alright, why we the people..
[22:53] <&Hale26> 1. We accept debate. Literally, if you talk about joining TWO we're not going to tell you to GTFO.
[22:53] <&Hale26> We're gonna talk it over.
[22:53] <&Hale26> 2. We have a distrust of power. This is coming from someone in leadership. Absolute power corrupts absolutely, even in a 3rd tier browser game. And corrupt power just isn't fun.
[22:54] <&Hale26> 3. We communicate. Party newsletters are weekly.
[22:54] <&Hale26> 4. We don't fear failure. We will try anything that has a shot of working- For examples, please inquire to Hale
[22:55] <&Hale26> 5. If you're fringe, that's cool. You can be here unridiculed. Much like point 1. Now, that doesn't mean we support your views. It just means we're willing to debate them with you.
[22:55] <&Hale26> 6. We have nowhere to go but up.
[22:55] <&Hale26> Oh, and we're awersome

Now that we've covered some of the why, lets cover some of the "What's next?"

By this point, you've gone to the ingame page for We The People and have clicked the button to join us. That's wonderful!

If you want, you can stop there, just be a member of the ingame community, we'll love you just the same. However, if you desire more, there is definitely more to do.

Next, you should click on this link to request access to our section of the eUSA forums. If you don't currently have an account for the eUSA forums, you should probably register one there.

Do you have an IRC client? You should join us in our main channel, #WTP. Don't have an IRC client? You have two choices;
Choice 1: Merely click this link, and a web-based IRC client will take you to our channel.
Choice 2: Install one of a Multitude of IRC clients. Personally, I use Trillian, as it allows me to combine multiple IM clients into a single program.

Now that you're a member of We The People, remember, you can receive TWICE the daily supplies from our Feed The World campaign. 600 Energy per day instead of 300, as well as 5 Q7 tanks on Tank'Em Tuesdays and Free Tank Fridays.

In summary;
Join We The People. Be part of an awesome community. Get 2x the free stuff, if that's how you roll.
