Editorial
No doubt everyone knows by now that Pfeiffer won a close Presidential election in a plurality. Much has been said for good or ill about the outcome of our latest election cycle. It has been quite some time since we last had a competitive election. It has sparked our community which can only be a good thing for the eUSA. Congratulations to President Pfeiffer on the victory. For those who have not read it Pfeiffer has published the first edition of Presidential media for this term. It can be found here.

A perusal of the Public Congressional Boards reveals more activity this term than has been seen in some time. Discussions on CBO transfers, SCI Disclosures, taxes, and the obligatory let’s censure/blacklist someone can all be found. It can easily be lost in the midst of the various goings on of Congress, but the issues discussed regarding the SCI Disclosures is one of particular import in this Editor’s opinion.

Transparency is a frequent hot button issue in the eUSA. As a government there are some things that have never (and likely will never) been readily shared with the eWorld. As such conspiracy theories frequently abound regarding pilfering and other unsavory practices with Treasury funds. In truth every member of Congress is informed by the CBO of past SCI expenditures and the current level of the reserves. This was not always the case. 4 to 5 years ago only SCI and the CP knew what was spent via SCI approval and the number of people who knew the state of our fiscal reserves were even smaller. This changed when the SCI Disclosures Act passed overwhelmingly October 15th, 2013. It was in this Editor’s opinion a positive change. It holds Presidents accountable for spending they do in Emergencies by ensuring it will see the light of day. It also allows Congress which controls the purse to know what is in the purse. Recent events have shown some potential cracks in the law and a possible need for some tweaks. As stated above this discussion is one very worth following.

DoCA PROGRAMS UPDATE
- AMERICAN AIR RANK PROGRAM (AARP)/center]

The AARP, one of the most successful DoCA programs, will continue to feed the US pilots. The main goal of the program is to help the eUS citizens to increase their Air Rank, by providing them with 2000 energy worth of food per day.
The participants need to do only 2 simple tasks per day to earn that foo😛
- Leave a comment (any comment) on the daily AARP shout by Marius CBon the National Feed;
- Score at least 20 air round battle kills in any campaign that day.

- ARM AMERICA (AA)
As the Q7 Tanks' prices are currently skyrocketing the Government has decided to reopen the Arm America program.
You would be able to receive 6 x Q7 Tanks from the government by the following scheme:
- Fight in the eUS Campaign of the Day
- Comment on the AA shout on the national feed, including the round you have fought in
- Have strength higher than:

25 000 for D1
50 000 for D2
75 000 for D3
No strength requirement for D4

By now you have likely read one of several articles regarding the soon to be departure of the United States Workers Party. The reactions to this announced rebranding have been varied. Few active players in the eUSA are ambivalent in their feelings about the USWP. When I first joined eRepublik in the Summer of 2009 they were a political powerhouse. They were dominant in Congress and put forward Candidates for President that became legends in the annals of our nation. When I returned to the game Spring of 2013 they were still going strong. They played an integral role in keeping the Ajay Bruno insurgency contained. They did this while continuing to have a strong voting bloc in Congress and putting forward successful candidates for President.

My own Political career has been closely intertwined with the USWP. August of 2013 I was a first time Party President of the Federalist Party. That same month Wild Owl was a first time Party President of the USWP. We quickly struck up a friendship and established a relationship of trust, and a willingness to work together that endures to this day. Together our two Parties have accomplished a great deal in driving the agenda of the eUSA. I know and accept that not everyone will share my views on the USWP, but for me it is a sad day to see the USWP begin to wind to down. The USWP always helped keep things interesting. So I say:

Farewell Workers. Your impact on the eUSA yesterday and today is absolutely undeniable. Your Legacy will live on. It has been an honor and a privilege to work with you and occasionally against you.
