Guide to Fighting
Manny Calavera
Sorry for the delay in this one, but I just got home from holiday. I looked on Wiki to see if there was already an instruction for fighting, but there isn’t one as of yet, so here we go, hopefully this will help.
Fighting is something that you can do if there is a battle that your country is involved in. However, I don’t suggest to fight more than 5 to 10 times a day when you first start as food is expensive and every time you click the fight button you lose 10 health. At least until you have a steady flow of gold coming in from a company, etc. When you come to the battle screen it will look something like this:

At the top of the screen you can see the blue and red bar. This is the battle dominance bar. When you click the fight button, depending on the weapon you use, and your strength you will do damage to your opponent. When you defeat an opponent, you add influence to the battle. When then influence is added to that bar, you can see the direction in which the battle is flowing. In the battle above, France has 63% and Canada 37% (to see this hover your mouse over the bar and it will show you the scores).
Underneath each country there are highlighted stars. In order to completely win the battle, your country, or country you are fighting for, has to win eight stars. This is accomplished by fighting and winning 8 battles. So the battle for Prince Edward Island will be won by the first country to win this fight 8 times. As you can see below, Romania has won it 4 times, while Hungary has also won 4 times.
Individuals with the highest influence in the battle are shown underneath the countries in which they are fighting for. In this case, Aarios has the highest influence for Romania, and Shandy has the highest influence for Hungary. If the battle ends and you have the highest influence in a fight, you will be the Battle Hero, and get yourself a Battle Hero Medal! Whenever you win a medal, you are given a Treasure Map which will earn you gold.
Above the fight button you can see your current rank and how many rank points you have. If you click here you can see the different ranks and how many rank points you need to achieve each one.

The options at the very bottom of the screen are health, health package, fight, and automatic defeat. You can click on the health button to use up health in your inventory. A health package will cost you 0.5 gold, and as of right now, you can use as many of these as you want to. Clicking on the fight button is obviously how you fight your opponent. Automatic defeat will cost you 1.0 gold, and unless you are trying to complete a mission, I don’t recommend this. You get more influence from fighting an opponent.
You can also select which weapon you want to use. Underneath your name, avatar, and strength levels there is a picture of whatever weapon you can use next. There is an icon there with two arrows. If you click on this it will cycle through your weapons. So if you have weapons that are lower quality and you wish to use those first, click on the arrow to cycle until you get to them and then click the fight button. Keep in mind what weapons you have and how many uses you will get out of each one. Fighting is expensive, and you can go through a lot of money trying to get a BH medal.
Finally, DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED! When you first start, it seems like everyone is stronger, but the longer you play, the more strength you get and then you can start doing some real damage. Thanks to WelshLad for helping me find the picture of the Southern Great Plains battle, I am grateful for the assistance!
Thanks for reading.

Good guide, needs more pics 😛
"longer you play, the more strength you get"
Don't lie to the newbies, that only happens in the first 1 week!

Not if you do it the traditional way Jacobo
Should put more emphasis on how it's a bad idea for noobs to fight unless they're being supplied by an army.
Well, Spud, they could always call upon the Feed the Kiwi program to restore them to full wellness.
Still, would be a good idea to hold on until you have more than enough money to keep in good health and have some weapons handy.
i don't agree that it's bad idea for noobs to fight.. actually everything is set the way the get health refills very often on low lvls... so they mostly don't need any backup until certain lvl.
I still think it's better to wait until you have a means of supply. That helps you get involved in your community as well.
I think I wrote in the beginning not to fight more than 5 to 10 times a day when they start, but yea, hold off until you can feed yourselves! FOOD IS EXPENSIVE!
It's about as expensive as it was before.

You have hospitals back then you could restore your health to full if you lived in a region with a Q5 hospital and fought only 5 times you did not even need food in times of war, however food was much more expensive then, I struggling to get enough money together for one loaf of bread, forget weapons, not until 2010 was I fully able to afforded decent weapons, about 6 months of playing.
I missed the V1 war module...
@Adam. Nope. Look at my previous forecasts. I have a list of all the prices in order just so you know. It has gone up and up and up! Its still slowly increasing in price.
Increasing in price does not necessary mean it's getting more expensive, Smotat. If you don't understand that, then you have no business talking economics.
@Jacobo, I know how you feel, I miss the V1 war module too.
Food is expensive, and weapons are ridiculous! It will take time in order to be able to do anything. It seems that the newer the player, the less influence they can bring to the war module, but like I said, don't be discouraged, just keep logging in and making friends, eventually big things can happen 😛
Again, "expensive" is subjective. Just because the numbers are large, doesn't mean it is expensive, because you're also being paid a comparable wage to take care of that.
So, I get paid over $30, and food is around $1.50. That's comparable to paying $0.75 when you get $15, which is what I used to get back in the USA and around how much food costed.
Just keep that in mind.
