This Month in the MoHA

This Month in the MoHA

Citizens of the eUK, the Ministry of Home Affairs is responsible for handling those aspects of government that are deemed ‘domestic’ which is often considered to include things such as entertainment, media, retention, and fun & games. We have a few plans and ideas to bring into play this month, but as always, we need your help.

As always, the MoHA needs apprentices. This is the perfect way to get involved with government and politics here in the eUK, and has been the launching point for countless politicians and presidents. The work can be a tiny bit boring, but the company is good and the experience is great.

As we are responsible for getting in touch with the Great British public, we need as many writers and messengers as we can get and you can apply to me via a private message, or simply join #MoHA on rizon to get stuck in.

As the API was borked by admins some four months ago, using API generated citizen lists creates old lists - these aren’t necessarily useless but it does mean we have to change the way we contact newer players (as they aren’t on the lists). As such, the most offective method is to ‘trawl’ the online players page and identifying who is new from there. The obvious downfall of this is that we cannot be online all the time to contact every person, as such we need to find as many messengers as possible to send a pre-written introductory message to newer players.

In order to give an added incentive to do so, a google doc is being maintained where each apprentice can record who they have messaged (and it will allow them to make sure they aren’t contacting someone who hasn’t already been spoken to). At the end of each week, money will be dished out from the Bank of Woldy to each apprentice based on how many people they got in touch with.

Similarly, the apprentice who writes the best articles for the Ministry will each week earn a little something to share with his or her wife/husband and kiddo’s.

In other words, participating in the MoHA this month could be quite a profitable escopade, so if you have some spare time and need some spare cash, get stuck in.

BlueAndEvil, (who from my experience is neither Blue nor Evil) is continuing to manage the NHS (whose messages we will be helping with) and the Mentoring scheme. A games-master will soon be appointed, along with an underminister to manage the writing of and write some articles so you know how to get the best out of the eUK and the fun stuff we have to offer.

Thanks for reading (and applying),
King Woldy,
Minister of Home Affairs
