Guess What North East? IT'S THAT TIME OF THE MONTH!

Day 847, 07:01 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Jake Pearlshire

Dear readers,

For those who don't know, my name is Jake Pearlshire. I was born in what was called Moscow Region (now Moscow and Central Russia) over a year ago, and was a 2 clicker for most of my eLife, living in different countries over the years, including USA, Spain, Romania, Russia, Estonia, and of course the UK. In July or August I decided I felt most comfortable living in the UK, so I decided to stay here. It was not until November when I started becoming active in the game, getting to know the other players. I decided to run for congress (or parliament) for Flanders in December for the first time, but lost. Next month, I tried London, but lost again. Last month, I decided to run in North East, and I was triumphant. I feel that my job here is not finished, so I decided to run again.

My Achievements

This past month I achieved a lot of things. I managed to appointed Apprentice in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), and also appointed Apprentice in the Ministry of Work (MoW). Unfortunately due to RL reasons, I had to resign my position in MoW. In addition, I was appointed to become a member of the North East Council (more information below).

North East - The Region

This past month, I managed to become involved with the North East Council, and all of its participants. I also managed to bring others active to the North East Council. You are probably wondering, "What's this North East Council?" Well if you join the forum, look under that huge section called "General" where all these sub-forums are. Click on regional, then click on England, the click on "North East Council." Well that's what it is! It's where all of you North Easterners can hang out and meet your neighbors and community. By becoming active, I managed to become a North East Council member. I plan to use this power for good. Good meaning - getting news to people in game, having competitions with other regions, just making the game more fun and manageable for everyone.

My Goals

Last month, my promises were to get this region more active, and do my best to represent what the people here want. I was successful, but then again, not successful enough. My goals this time is to get AS MANY 2 CLICKERS OUT OF THE 2 CLICKING ZONE AND INTO THE FORUMS. The 2 clicking zone is not fun, trust me (I was a 2 clicker for almost a year)! If you think eRepublik is boring, it's because you are a 2 clicker. You think that the whole game is "Work - 1 click. Train - 2 click. I hope there's a battle today...." That's not the whole game. The game functions are just 1 tiny aspect of eRepublik life. The UK forum is where MOST (if not all) the fun is. My goal was to get as many 2 clickers to this fun. Then again, there are VERY few people living in North East, so there are very few 2 clickers to get to the forums. I am positive I haven't got you all to the forum. This upcoming month I'm going to try again to get more people to the forum, and make our region more fun! If you are really scared to go on the forum, send me suggestions via message, and I will most definitely reply, and probably take it.

Also, getting people to the forum isn't my only goal. My other goal is to get ready for V2, which looks like it's coming out soon. So I'm ready to face any and every change possible to adapt to V2, and to help others adapt to it. Also, since V2 is coming out, maybe we can rebuild the infrastructure lost during the EDEN invasion. Obviously i don't have complete power over that, but I do have the power to support it.

Lastly, but certainly not least, I'm going to continue with helping out any n00bs with any questions they have. I was a 2 clicker most of my life, so I know where you all are coming from. You're probably wondering "What is EDEN? What is Phoenix? Why did we make peace with USA?" I asked those questions too (probably not the exact same ones because these are modern examples). You may also be wondering "How do I get to these forums? Will my identity be stolen? Will I need to put my personal information there?" Again, I asked those questions too, and all I can say is that it's really safe, especially if you make a fake gmail for the forum. So, just send me any questions you may have.

My Political Views

For those of you that don't know, I'm a member of The Unity Party, a political party that overall matches my political views, and here is the party's manifesto if you want more information. I consider myself to be a moralistic, centrist liberal socialist. Don't worry - I'M NOT IN STALIN'S BACKYARD! I'm no Reagan either. I believe that the people should have their voices heard, and that my job is to get your voices out, and to not use my job as a way to exercise my views for my benefit. As far as economy, I believe in a capitalist system for smaller businesses, but larger businesses require a lot of government regulation so that people don't get too rich. As far as society goes, I believe that everyone should receive basic human rights, such as free speech, education, yada yada yada.... you get the point. On the political compass, I'm -4.75 as far as economy (moderately socialist), and -4.15 (moderately liberal). That's probably more straightforward

Good luck to all of my rivals.

Voters, please consider voting me, Jake Pearlshire for congress on March 25th, 2010. If you want to vote for me, but don't know how, send me a message and I will walk you through 😃

Thank you for reading,
