A serious letter to eChile from a eAustralian Citizen
Mickskitz
Hi all,
This is my first article, so cross fingers it is received well. I am also not authorised by our govt in writing this article, and so my thoughts are not binding
This is in response to Femto666 comment on XG's article
We're clear to return 1 region on December 20th, maybe Northern Territory.
You'll have congress elections again.
But we ask for a couple of things:
- no MPP with ARG
- don't fight against Chile
- don't send NE to Chile
- leave, for 1 or 2 months, 200k cc in guarantee with another country in case that you send NE
- return of a second region will be talking in the next government, not now
This is my opinion, but I just wanted to to give my personal opinion on a few things.
No MPP with ARG - I think there is a consensus that we are all happy to do this under a peace agreement
don't fight against Chile - this does need some clarification. does this include RW? As the govt actually has very little control on this part of the game, it does make it a challenge to completely stop all RW from occuring. The only thing I can say is that perhaps no govt endorsed RW, and we sign a MPP (not sure exactly how an MPP works with an invader so this might not be appropriate) with Chile, so we fight on your side on other battles.
Don't send NE to Chile If we are not fighting you, then there would be no point to sending a NE to you.
leave $200k as a guarantee with another country incase we send a NE to youI for one, don't actually mind the $200,000 guarantee, but I feel we should get something for it (i.e. additional region) and it should be set in stone the conditions of it. e.g. not having Chile as NE is fine whereas e.g. not starting any RW for period would not (as one the govt can directly control, the other the govt can't), and there should be a PTO clause as well, so if we cannot be held responsible on govt actions on a PTO arrangement. I would also suggest that the country that holds it would be the eUSA
Also, as a citizen, I would like to give some perspective from eAustralian's on the previous treaty which we broke (and yes I do believe that we broke it).
The previous treaty was not really seen as such by eAus, and our PM at the time DocterDry did a poor job of communicating exactly what was happening. I understood it (at the time) to be you wished for us to have a congress, so gave back the region temporarily to allow this to happen (and due to crappy game mechanics) but this didn't work.
So we had the extra region, and thought we would try and take the initiative. I do understand how this must have looked now that all has been explained from your perspective, but as a citizen, we were poorly informed that a cease fire was taking place. Not to excuse our actions, but please understand that our "betrayal" of our previous deal occurred as DocterDry did not communicate with the public. I can't remember if it was DD or PheonixGreen who set you as NE, but I think it was PG, this was due to pressure from eArg as they promised us to help us regain regions (which they did help with). If it was the PG administration who set NE status, it was also as the previous deal was not explained by the outgoing CP to the incoming CP.
And finally, all eAustralians are hoping for is a foreseeable return of all our regions, and we want to know if you are willing to do this. If it takes some time, then so be it, but at least give us some time frame perspective on this whole thing, and don't just dangle a carrot in front of us with the hope that one day we may get it.
If you can offer us a foreseeable exit, then I believe that we will take it.
Thank you for your time and I hope that this makes sense to you.
Sincerely
MickSkitz
p.s. I tried to get pictures in, but they didn't seem to work

Nice Article Mick, I wondered what the "Betrayed us" stuff was about, seem I understand. Still though, it goes back to what I said about both countries voting in administrations that should just not have been put in.
for me you look authorised by our govt

I will not fight anymore against Aussi.
but stop fight both!!! This will make easier for our representatives to agree (healthy and without pressure).
Thank you all.
@Tim_Holtz
I have actually just spoken with Greg and he has agreed for me to come on board as MoF just to help out if anything needs doing as he had to do the budget himself. I'm a "just-in-case" minister
but this article was not written as MoF, but just as a citizen.
Cheers for the support guys
Good article Mickskitz.

Really appreciate your support to the Chilean's who have commented. I hope that we can work together in the future.
so echile now you guys got most of your region back what you bludgers still doing here in australia then ay?
@cr1so: fromt he looks of the world map looks like they have got most of Argentina as well.
that's my point XG. they had most of them back and others as well for a while now. But the reality is australia is way too good for a sweet for them to let it go.
That is the trouble, for every Chilean who feels uncomfortable with their country's actions
there will be another who feels empowered.
like cr1so said - too tasty a sweet for them to give up voluntarily
I do have to agree with Mickskitz though, I to appreciate those Chileans commented and given their support.
They are not the only ones. There are many of us who want negotiations to be successful. We don't need you to lick anything from us, we just need time to build mutual trust. That does not happen overnight. As much as I have seen of the deal, it seams reasonable and I'm sure will be received very well by the rest of the Chileans.
Time for peace.
If you are asking is to put 200k aside you can afford to give us another region. 200k would easily win it back for you and that's no lip service.
I hate this idea personally, and it makes me want to vomit dayglow. I've struggled with it, which is why I've kept pretty quiet as I appreciate this is not my decision to make.
As an oldie - for any other reason this tells you it's a good deal for you. Come on eChile, eAus has extended a bloody big olive branch. To spit pips in our eye now would lose an opportunity we will both never have again.
- Ranger.
rtapiacl: The deal is worse than your first offer, that is not by any definition of the word, reasonable.
If you met us halfway (maybe 2 region not connected so you wouldn't lose any bonuses) or even just told us your original offer was the best you would offer then you wouldn't look so like you wanted negotiations to fail.
@supereviloverlord, rtapiacl is not the one doing the negotiating, and I believe he was implying the counter offer eAus sent to eChile was reasonable (the one with 2 regions being requested).
@ranger bob, they never said the 200k was to go to them, that is why i suggested eUSA. But now I think about it, I think the clause should require both eAus and eChile to put in 200k to this guarentee and then as long as both follow the rules for the following 30 days, the funds be released back to the respective nations. This would be a great incentive to stop the next eChile CP to change there mind and reneg on all agreements.
OK, if that's the case then I stand corrected.
I agree with Kanarien and wont fight Aussies anymore. We should give it back.
You would think that they would rather take what they need from Argentina who oppressed them for so long... but that's clearly too challenging and too sensible. Like all bullies, a coward to the core.
@Majester, dont they have about half of eArg regions and are currently going after another eArg region?
Majester, look at the map... by arround 20h, we will occupy more than half of eArgentine territory. Your words and acts all the time demonstrate that your intention is to hinder a peace treaty at all costs.
I think it is time for echile to realize that this relationship between us and them cannot go any more longer than it have to.. They are fully recovered what they have lost in expense of whole australia. Time for them to do the right thing and give back our country where it belongs. No rocket science needed there except for manrod78 (bitch got serious issue there. penis envy syndrome maybe?)
It seems like talking at this level might help more than the official behind-the-scenes negotiations. We will see. I appreciate the problems our actions have caused eChile in the past and want a fresh start with new people in the government.
.You have nothing to offer to Chile
Please accept the deal as is
If you want better options, friendship comes with time
@supereviloverlord/@Mickskitz: I was referring to the deal that appears in the article in bold letters (message from Femto).
I'm not in the negotiations, nor am I part of the Gov, I was just giving my 2 cent's from a plain citizen's perspective. I think that the terms indicated will be widely accepted by eChileans, which is more that I can say from the comments I'm reading from some eAustralians.
Anyway, I understand negotiations are still going on. Let's hope all goes for the best. It is our COMMON interest to have this treaty go through. Let's not hinder it.
@Juanin Gonzales, that's exactly the point they're not getting... up to now, they haven't won a single RW for as long as I can remember, so if we wanted to, we could hang on to their regions for as long as we could hold them. Point is, we know this is not what we SHOULD do, so we're trying to break a deal that's beneficial to both sides.
I'm assuming that our Gov is also looking into NZ's interests also, they have been true allies and deserve our highest commitment with their security also.
I'm Minister of Chile, but I speak for myself
I hope this agreement is accepted
If it goes well you can improve, for you, of course
I also hope not to miss this opportunity
I do not know if the next government offers them something
What I find strange is that eChile have the opportunity to work with us to build us as allies.
We have clearly shown our strength in D4, which would be valuable for them going forward. The way I see it, you are weaker for keeping the status quo, as our regions don't profit you any more as you have all the bonuses with other lands, and yet you resist working with us so?
It seems illogical to me, and not in Chile's best interests, especially if we are PTO'd, we would not be able to do anything to assist them until the PTO finished, which by then we will be so weak that it will take time for our economy to recover that it should you need us at short notice, it would be very difficult.
It may not appear that we have nothing to offer, but I disagree. I think that with us by eChile's side, it would make things easier for you, and at what cost? None effectively. Your economy won't be put under pressure, any cost involved in stopping our RW would disappear and you would gain an allie with a strong D4 presence.
I hope that eChile does not miss this opportunity either, as the sooner we can organise the return of lands, the stronger the allie we will be able to be for you.

MickskitzDay, I completely agree with your assertions
Both countries have much to gain and nothing to lose with this deal (if respected, of course).
😉
As a chilean, I hope eAustralia and eChile could sign an agreement, it will be a win win situation for both and the beggining of a constructive relationship between both countries.
For me, it is better to gain an ally than a bonus.
But, IMHO negotiations are not being conducted properly, there are still looking at the past and not looking at constructing future, a first approach to settle trust between both countries is prioritary right now.
😁😁
With an attitude like that Elmasaran, there is still hope
I totally agree with what you said there
😁 I absolutely agree with you Elmasaran. You are spot on about everyone focusing on the past.
