Time For A Change

Day 1,569, 02:10 Published in Canada Canada by ultimate523

Listen up, folks. I've finally started writing articles a little more frequently, and I'm going to keep that up for now. We've had several things going on here in eCanada, very few of them good. Rolo has been pardoned. I voted “Yes” due to my over-abundance of faith in human nature. We'll have to see if I regret that, or not. If he lied to me, and others, then I will gladly, and proudly call him an enemy. If he told the truth, then good for him on learning how to be a big boy.

But now that that half a paragraph is done, it's time to move onto the main issue eCanada is facing with Acacia Mason apparently leaving eRepublik. Much of that is addressed in Andrew McKenzie Caine's article here. I'm not really sure what to expect with that, but if Acacia doesn't come back then I will support Andrew McKenzie Caine taking the role of CP. He is new, and not the best known, but I have faith in him, and know he can do a decent job.

I would also like to thank Oblige, and the eUSA for their willingness to help us in a time of uncertainty, along with accepting the closest thing we can get to refugees on here into their country. They truly are our bros, and my respect for them continues to grow.

Now, as for what we, the eCanadian people need to do about this. If you're reading this, and you want to do more, but haven't, now's the time. Get active, run for congress, help people. If you want to stand by me, and the others willing to fight to keep this country strong then don't hesitate. Take a chance. I did, and now I'm a three time congressman.

If you're unsure of what to do, then just message me in here. Ask questions, I'll be glad to help. My avatar may not be the friendliest looking, but I won't bite...at least not without a good reason. Make yourself aware of what's going on if you haven't already. This goes mainly to the new people, and those older ones who weren't very involved before, but not solely to them.

We need new faces, and new ideas. And to support that, we need new parties. If you have ideas for a party, find others who would support you, and either take or make one of your own. We have enough small, useless parties that aren't even active, so go there, or even run in one of our major parties if you feel you can succeed. Don't be afraid to give Wally some competition in MOO finally.

We need parties based on concepts, and ideas. I remember back when I was a two clicker we used to have a communist party. Sure, the current parties have enough to be different from each other, but we shouldn't be working to be a little different, and then pay people to join. We should be working to have quality ideas that people like. Pay attention to what people stand for. Don't just vote for whoever either. Vote for who you feel is best.

Alone, I know there's not a lot I can do, but I'd like to see at least two new parties with hard working PPs on the 16th. Work for what you want. People like me will also gladly help you if you need help. We shouldn't be happy with the kind of nation we are now. We should want to be better.

I believe Acacia could have been a good CP, and if things worked out differently, maybe he would have been. But many have also complained about it being this older elite running for CP, and I agree. We need new faces. No more Addys, Rolos, Kronoses, and the like.

Now is your time. You can watch this nation go downhill until the Serbs, Bulgarians, Poles, Romanians, or whoever take over, or you can take a stand, and work for a strong, able, and ready eCanada that can fight for what it wants. We can be the envy of many countries if we wanted to, we just need to work for it. I'll do what I can, but I can't do this alone.

It's up to you,
