Vice President Update - Day 1568

Day 1,569, 00:26 Published in Canada Canada by Andrew McKenzie Caine

Hello eCanada,

If you are not yet aware, our Country President, Acacia Mason, has resigned. This comes after Acacia was threatened with the release of his RL information. The link below will show the conversation that took place between Acacia and JLebowski:

Acacia went on to post this on the forums:

"Let me be clear.

I am leaving because I have received several very threatening PM's including one in which the release of both my home and work address is threatened.

Call it whatever the fuck you want...there is nothing about this game even close to being worth that. Maybe you think its worth it but I sure as hell dont."

There have been multiple attempts to contact Acacia, but so far, there has been no response. During this time, Congress has been busy developing multiple plans of action in order to deal with this situation.

As of right now, Congress has three options that it is considering:

1. Impeach Acacia, Rolo becomes CP.
2. Leave Acacia in power, Vice President AMC becomes acting President.
3. Leave Acacia in power. An emergency Triumvirate is formed.

An impeachment has been pre-maturely proposed by Code-y. Congress is being asked to hold their votes in an attempt to reach Acacia. We are currently looking into options of accessing Acacia's account in order to push the necessary buttons and keep the country running.

This is indeed a rather troubling, and confusing time, and I would like to thank Congress' swift actions, specifically Plugson, and crisfire. I would ask that patience be a virtue for a few more hours as we attempt to come to a solution.

As Vice-President, I will be looking after as much of the game as I possibly can. Until Congress has come to a decision about the future of eCanada, and who will run our country, I will be working with the remaining Cabinet on matters that Acacia had started work on, including: our monthly budget, MPPs, developing plans for RWs/region bonuses, and the on-going internal affairs investigation. While time is short, I will make the most of whatever little there is left in order to keep this country running as smoothly as possible under the current circumstances.

It is in these moments that our country has an opportunity to change. Whether that change is for the better or worse is truly up to us. In the next few hours, we will see what our future holds. I will attempt to keep eCanada updated as much as possible within the coming hours.

We have already lost much these past few weeks. We must start to heal, and I call on eCanada to be better. It starts with us. Those who lead. We must be willing to change if we are to inspire others to follow. To all eCanadians, I say this: should you lose faith in those who lead, never lose faith in yourselves, or the potential of your country. When all else crashes down upon you, become the foundation.

Once more, when we need to the most, no matter what happens today, I bid you, eCanada to look after each other, fight for each other, and together, R I S E.

Sincerely,

Vice-President of eCanada
