The MEANING of good faith.
Greg MaCGregor
G’Day eAustralia
It's been an interesting month.
For the last 16 days we have seen a fair amount of quiet.
Mainly because of the proposed dealing, discussions, negotiations and so on. The ONE thing I would like to point out though, has been the CLEAR message from eAustralia that we would prefer to pursue peace with Chile opposed to war.
It now looks like some of that good faith has been returned.
eChile, FULLY KNOWING a deal has not yet been finalised, HAS actually actively supported the return of the Northern Territory. This secures a congress election this term which is a great result. While no Agreement has yet formally been set, it doesn't mean work on one is not ongoing. It is. At the moment, timeframes are still being finalised for further regions release which will then be re-proposed to senate as a newdeal for consideration. But the IDEA, is to have three regions no later than around the end of January/early February.
NOW SOME PEOPLE ARE GONNA HATE THAT - BUT, THAT IS A MAXIMUM TIMEFRAME.
Keep in mind, it's only a bit over a month really from now. And a month to secure three regions long term, with the promise of more, is not terrible.
I'm hoping that we can secure them sooner, and Chile will soon see eAus can work well together and actually seek to be on friendlier terms.
Some people are going to dislike this regardless of what is on offer.
But I ask you, has till now really worked for us?
Have a little faith, let senate finalise the details and something final will be published soon.
For now, enjoy the congress elections!
Greg

I just dont like it...
Also, I dont have enough effort to explain why, But, I just dont like it.
As long as Chile are "FULLY AWARE" the deal has not been finalized I guess I can behave a little.
region 4, 5 and 6 ???
good faith?, no, just smart move from Chile
I dont trust them
Somepeople did a poopsy on that plan ......

Nice!
Have faith dear comrades, eAustralia rocks and eChile rolls.
@Benzo Calm down, mate. Try to refrain from using such language. It's a game. Calm down.
Honestly, I'm sorry ... u.u
Sorry Louise, I'm just pissed, never wanted to insult you that way u.u
Most of that deal I can live with. I'll discuss on forums for the rest. I really hope Chile and Aus can work this out.
U re right, this game makes my blood boil as you as well. I hope we can go forward in better agreements in time. I need some ice to chill my veins though! > .
People of Latin heritage are quick to anger, likewise people of Irish heritage. In some ways its a good thing otherwise we all would be like insects or robots.
So both our bloods boiled Benzo lol, we should dance a tango now.
I would rather see passion than cold calculated behind the scenes plotting somewhere.
There has been too much of that I think - it is that which is poisoning our countries relationships
PS I deleted my posts to 🙂
"Some people are going to dislike this regardless of what is on offer."
This is so true. But we really can't blame them anyway. The only way this can be overcome is by building mutual trust.
Instead of thinking in how to have a good bb so you can kick chile from there.. You prefeer to sign a nap and take your pants down to them.
Im just dissapointed with this.
mazkala phantom
Greg you do have difficult job. But hey - I'm not the only one confused when things pop up - need some clearer direction even way down in the dregs of D1.
A SIGNAL!!!!!: If Benzo and Louise can be friends again (next step: with benefits?) hope is still alive for Australia-Chile understanding.
Good faith, peace and undestanding: almost an end of year miracle
Benzo and Louise could figure a good couple, though *gg*
So Louise, we have to assume you are of hot blooded Irish descent?
Yesterday I could complete the 25 hits for Australian Mercenary in NT. For a short instance, I was table leader. Who would have thought that xD
Louise & Benzo,
Let's focus on the bright future for our countries, i am not asking to forget the past, just let's move on, step by step and if we both keep good faith, our countries will progress and may very well be allies in a short term future.

Manrod I saw you fighting in Queensland I could not understand why at the time.
Yes I am of Irish descent - but also of English & Scots descent. Even s drop or two of Chinese.
So Manrod, Pescaman & Ramiro , here is an article I published on how I feel about the present situation

as You can see I feel as strongly as Benzo on this.
What happens next will depend very very much on how sincere Chile is. I hope it will all end nicely
Louise & Benzo, hahahaha
Aussies.
- enjoy the congress elections!
- next month will have more areas, by the agreement, obviously.
- I recommend to you, make a baby boom. winning campaigns babies stay in the game.

glad to see things are little by little happening congratulations greg and wiisep84
Louise,
"What happens next will depend very very much on how sincere Chile is."
Although you have not yet approved the agreement / covenant and as you have seen, chile returned it NT (The easy win), only so that they have Congress this period.
It shows several things:
1. The Chileans, we are well informed about our government's orders and because of these.
2. We are a country that knows that is fighting to have Congress. remember how long Argentina, left us without Congress.
3. We both have things to lose and win with or without the agreement. But who has taken the first step again?
4. As you know, we have more congressmen and government people (for the number of zones) and as you see we agree in a little of time. You are way too delayed and debate.
5. What happened if we won NT, because, we did not have the definitive answer? a month without Congress for you?
😉
"The ONE thing I would like to point out though, has been the CLEAR message from eAustralia that we would prefer to pursue peace with Chile opposed to war."
ROFLCOPTER! Oh please Greg. If your own Cabinet can't get a clear message from you how are the citizens?
Blimey what a cracker!
Louise Brooks and Benzo Diazepino, get a room xD
Enough of that TJ Please do not bring US 3 ring circuses to Australian politics.
But you are right in that there is no clear message from anybody.
Like the Japanese emperor said " We must endure the unendurable"
Well Australians are trying to - with gritted teeth - only so far we can be pushed.
and Liillo, the agreement was a lot easier for Chile than Australia - much easier for you to agree than us - so don't push it
Louise, I fought in NT for Australia, not Queensland... and we granted you NT as goodie for the Congress, so this could not be the supposed show stopper again. I hope our goodwill is not being kicked with boots so far, as this negotiation was intended to take 3 or 4 days, but is now longer than 10 days.
Chilean offer stands for a while already. I assume you all are inteligent enought to see in Queensland, that if any intent to play the smartass (and probably hoping for a Chilean desaster in SA) won't bring a happy end at all. So yes, let's hope for the best... the best for ALL of us.
And we did the first step (with granting NT), the ball is with you now (and not with us, as you say)
The ball is up in the air Manrod.
I am aware that Chile did release the NT even before negotiations were finished so we could have a congress. Either a surprising & welcome show of good faith - OR, a cynical ploy.
You will be aware that Australians are not fighting in Queensland - (or if they were they stopped as soon as news trickled through). There is the good faith from us
So it is like an Armistice right now - which really benefits Chile at present, doesn't it.
We will see what Chile expects of us in the agreement - there is one huge deal killer in it, That why the delay it seems
Louise, I guess its the 200k security point, which your government is not wanting to accept.
But that shouldn't be the killer at all, if you don't have any hidden bad intentions, shouldn''t it?
Actually the security deposit is not a problem D.F. Sarmiento - instead it is the expectation by Chile that we will fight for them against their enemies.
Culturally (and personally) that is a deeply offensive demand. We are NOT your slaves..
I do have a problem with the security deposit, though if Chile would also agree to also deposit the same amount in a neutral country it would be acceptable to me (and probably a lot of people).
😁^
Yes that to, I am expecting Chile to be doing something involving Indonesia & maybe even NZ with Australian occupied territories
However, Australia wants be a Cot member...Louise, is not about be slaves, is about a definition. If u wanna be part of an alliance, you must fight against the enemy. Dont think so?
Indeed... its not us eChileans you have to convince with deeds... but the resting CoT members. We know you want to keep yourself all doors open and you believe you are very "smart" playing with our patience and these "foolish eLatinos". But there comes a time, where you have to take decisions as grown ups, and stop postponing and denying own responsabilities. You are on the presenting plate, and many eEyes in eRepublic are directed at you. You yourself will define the fate of your future. Chose the "easy" way of denying all, and continue being surrounded by enemies, or contributing and starting to real playing in a team.
Sorry, that does not wash at all. Chile wants an agreement where we are expected to fight for Chile in wars against Chile's enemies - to do a specified level of damage in these wars. If we don't we are in breach of the agreement. There is nothing mentioned about CoT.
Unless of course you consider that Chile speaks for CoT?
Are you that important in CoT - what is good for Chile must also be good for CoT?
Well Louise, I have seen several articles of your countrymen on how to join CoT. It's no secret at all, that this is one of your aims and it makes sense, in order you as a nation to progress... or even better: to existin this CoT hood! Not that it would be such a terrible clause for you to fight for us. I did it for eAustralia (even against eChile) some days ago this week, and hey... look, here I am, still alive!
You love to talk about that we should jump over our own shadow, eChileans to show more and more acts of good faith. Asking you guys to hit for eChile doesn't seem to me a very big difficulty, if you want to join CoT. If this is such a terrible demand to ask for, maybe it would be better for you guys and girls to reject the deal once and for all. It'd show you are not serious about a real alliance and future friendship.
Chile does not have money for the war of resistance in Australia!!
@Louise: "Unless of course you consider that Chile speaks for CoT?
Are you that important in CoT - what is good for Chile must also be good for CoT?"
....¡¡¡????
It's pretty simply: CoT is an alliance, and its members help each other to fight the enemy. Argentina is enemy at least of: Chile, Perú, Paraguay, Bulgaria and NZ, that imply Arg. is enemy of CoT.
If Australia is part of CoT, must fight against Argentina: that's all.
As far as alliances go I will voice no opinion. I have left that to others in my party & the Australian community who have more experience than i in this area.
So stating the obvious, if Australia was in CoT, as an Australian I should fight for the alliance.
But Australia is NOT in CoT .
CoT has not requested that I fight, Chile has demanded.
One fights to support ones friends - Chile is not a friend - you have ALL said that yourselves Chileans.
By demanding I fight for you to prop up your pathetic attempt at empire - it won't be happening
forget peace, they attacked you. To arms cowards! I'm in Taz wait for reinforcements!
Well this was the biggest fail and the worst idea Australia ever had, trust Chile ???/ lol, seriously ??,, lol
