Join the new world

Why hello there,

Here in the UK, we have seen our government sign peace with the invading forces of EDEN in the USA, Canada, Norway, Sweden and Spain. As I’m sure you are aware, there has been a lot of controversy regarding the decision, from normal citizens to foreign presidents to Phoenix officials giving their opinions on the rights and wrongs of ending the Invasion of the British Isles.




Many of the arguments for the opposing-peace side would be ordering our government to continue the war, use our MPPs to push Spain and Poland out of France and Germany, since we were “clearly” winning the war (shown by pushing the enemy back from London and regaining a few of our other regions.

This is not true.

We had regained the initiative for a little while, but that did not signal the end of the war, not by a long shot. We’d win a few more regions, then find ourselves under constant blocking attacks from our enemies who surround us. They’d push us entirely back to London, and by this stage we’d have spent all our money on invading the regions we had just completely re-lost.

If peace hadn’t been declared, this war would have gone on for a long time. And eventually, we would lose. Finding ourselves in a nation with no money to rebuild itself, to arm its forces, to help its new players; is that you want from the UK? Do we want another situation like the Greek-Turkish War? A war that has gone on for an incredibly long time now, with no real hope of a resolution being made.


Backwards and forwards, backwards and forwards...

As the situation stands, now the main focus of this war has left the UK. It now focuses back on the rest of Europe and Asia or maybe even in South America. In France, Germany, Austria, Turkey, China, Brazil and potentially India.

Now Phoenix may focus on liberating our friends and allies, and helping strengthen our alliance rather than be tied up in an un-winnable war. The UK itself can commit its mobile forces, and sign MPPs to help defend our allies in France and Germany. We have not, and shall not forsake them.


The game will always keep going.

Phoenix has backed the UK Government in its decision, these guys know what they are doing. Even if they do make PR disasters... 😛 On a side note, I also wish to congratulate EDEN Command on their willingness to negotiate peace. We may be enemies, but that doesn't mean we can't respect the other side.

For me, the UK’s commitment to helping our allies has not faltered, and we now have the means and the drive to prove to our friends that we can help them.

As I mentioned before, Phoenix are likely to try to liberate Germany and France to begin with, now that they safely have LionKing in the hands of the Serbs.

Germany currently contains only two regions, but is relatively safe as of the moment. Since we are declaring peace with Poland, the UK is now free to sign an MPP with Germany, not initially doing so as it may open a war between Poland and Germany if Poland activated our MPPs again.



The best thing about this war is that Poland seem currently unwilling to open a war to destroy Germany, so if Phoenix play their cards right through resistance wars Germany may be getting a few more regions within the next few months. The war will be slow, but it is the best choice, and the lack of a siege of London has meant that we can now focus on Germany.

The willingness of EDEN to give up the invasion of their most hated enemy also clearly shows their tacticians are finally gaining the upper hand over their politicians. EDEN have shown they no longer wish to invade and conquer regions which have no real strategic value in the long run, suggesting a loosening in the policy of trying to keep worthless German and French regions. With rumours that the Spanish and Polish government are in talks about the future of France, and potentially Germany, it looks good for these two mainland nations, especially France, as the Spanish government has reportedly said how they wish to see a neutral and peaceful France.



It does however, suggest that they will now try to focus on High RM regions in Asia and elsewhere, especially regaining LionKing. They may also attempt to tighten the defence of Karnataka, which is currently being threatened by the powerful Phoenix member, Serbia, although whether the Serbians would want it, due to already having a High Iron region is another matter altogether…

Although one front of the World War has closed, more will be expecting a fierce intensity in the days to come. The war between Phoenix and EDEN for pride, revenge and of course, RMs will rage for a long time to come. Mostly over High Iron, some over crap all.
