Congress Update!

Day 1,817, 09:35 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Lord Lewis Cromwell

Hi everyone!

It's been a while since my last general update, sorry!

CP Elections!
Yes, that time of the month has come and gone already! After an interesting election period we can look forward to another term for Talon Karrde who will remain our CP/PM for the rest of this month! Continuing his sterling work is his cabinet, which has seen a bit of a re-shuffle as you can see in this article.

With a focus on any new players we have in our community and my introduction to the Foreign Affairs team we can expect more interesting things to come! I have some real-life experience in Foreign Affairs and hope to bring this experience to our team in order to further strengthen our international position! Glorious days to come.

Training Wars!
(Propaganda version) After beating the heretic aggressors into submission, Germany and Belgium have begged us for mercy! As a display of our benevolence and grace we have ended these two wars in order to sharpen our swords for another upcoming campaign which will be decided upon and started shortly! Tremble in fear, neighbouring weaklings!

(Non-propaganda version) Our training wars had fulfilled their purpose and so we agreed to end them, our ties with Germany and Belgium are strengthened for the future now through this display of trustworthiness on both sides and we look forward to our next adventures together! We do have some more options for homeland wars and we can all rest assured that it won't be long before we're earning True Patriot (TP) damage again. In the meantime there are some important battles around the world in which our allies cannot afford to lose, and so we will continue to display our worth as an international ally by dedicating ourselves to these causes. Fight well and show our friends why we are their friends!

Community
Now that the elections are over and campaigning against eachother has died down a little, and with this time of year generally causing business and in-game inactivity in some students and workers, I'd like to urge everyone to come together for the sake of our national team.

While some have vehemently condemned their particular usage lately the forums remain a great place for easy discussion and, despite a few old examples biasing a few opinions, are not moderated by heartless, power-hungry freaks.

To confirm this, I applied to join the moderation team due to having a long list of personal experience in online communities and moderation from a young age in order to help the team and see if the moderators were overstepping the boundaries at all. My experience got me selected and I haven't found anything to suggest a cliquey group of anti-socialists yet but rest assured that my appointment to the forum's team lends a strong, open hand that will help make sure the forums are a welcoming place for all good-hearted and well-wishing members of our national team to enjoy, in good moderation and mediation for the safety of people's enjoyment of the community not for safety of their positions.

So with that, I again urge everyone to use the forums to improve our national community. Stop thinking of pro-parties or anti-parties, improve our nation as a whole so our nation can step forward together.

International News
I'm not 100% sure how much information I can give so I won't give any at all. There will be some awesome stuff coming out of the Foreign Affairs team soon though, as well as possibly something from our PM on some good news. Look forward to great things!

I'll end this update there and wish everyone a peaceful Armistice Day - remember that with every victory comes loss and that we must remember and appreciate the sacrifice some people pay for the world we live in. Celebrate your enemies, celebrate your friends and celebrate the diversity we enjoy in life.

But also remember to laugh!

Be cool, stay cool
