Today’s article is simply to inform you of my cabinet choices for this term. Applications have been open for a fair while now and I’ve even PM’d the country asking them to get involved. The cabinet listed below is the cream of that crop in my estimation, a really impressive team that I am confident will lead the country well in the month ahead.
In line with my Youth First policy, you’ll note that some of the ministries have two ministers in place. I’ve tried, where I can, to pair up an inexperienced player with someone that’s been at it for a while, in order to help them progress. Likewise, I’ve tried to get a team of high-potential young players in place to gain experience in all areas, pick which one they prefer, and have a go at applying for next month’s cabinet, whoever runs.
Finally, I’ve picked two players to mentor for runs at being CP in the future as Prime Minister and vCP respectively. They have both highly impressed me with their applications and endeavour, and will serve as the heads of their respective departments at any point where I’m not online. I am truly grateful for the support of my team and look forward to working with them this month!
Madacaion is very much an up and coming citizen of the eUK. He’s impressed me in everything he’s done since we first spoke a couple of months ago, he’s highly intelligent, and after extensive conversations I’m excited to have him on board as Prime Minister. His role this month will be twofold. First, he’ll be organising all our domestic ministries and making sure each of them is on task, doing all the jobs they need to do and writing reports to inform the public of all of this. Secondly, he’ll be gaining valuable experience for a possible role in the future and hopefully a future run at the presidency.
Vice Country President:
CD is one of the most reliable players in the UK and wanted to take a step up this month, which I was only too happy to let him do. He’s been a great servant in the MoD for many months now, and would like to gain more experience for a future run at the presidency, while also showing his ambition and skill in serving the country once again. Just as Madacaion will be heading up domestic ministries, CD will be maintaining our foreign ones and will be one of the main points of contact for our nation this month. In a time of alliance uncertainty CD will undoubtedly be an asset.
A word on his citizenship too: CD currently has Polish citizenship as he has a lot of rubber and saltpetre factories that he’s using to make profit for the government. So kudos to him for that!
Ministers of Foreign Affairs:
Kravenn and Thomas765
These two have been stalwarts in the MoFA for a long time, with Kravenn being the public face and Thomas often working in the background. They both have totally different sets of contacts and good relations and so their skillsets match up perfectly. In addition, Thomas is a prolific journalist and will be putting his considerable skills to use for the MoFA, so expect a large media presence from the ministry this month.
In addition to these two, Lord Lewis Cromwell has come onboard as deputy MoFA. He’s still quite new to UK politics and will be learning the ropes under our capable team.
Ministers of Defence:
Jamesw and Boer Charel
Jamesw doesn’t really need much of an introduction- He’s been president many times before and will be taking on a kind of mentor role for Boer, who is a first time minister with some exciting ideas for the MoD. He’ll have an article out soon after the election outlining what these will be.
Minister of Legislative Affairs:
Minecrafting ‘Appleby’ Instead
Appleby is a long term member of our community and has been described recently as an ‘excellent’ MoLA. I agree, and so here he is once again in that role, working with congress. Additionally, Apronchef will be working in the MoLA this month too, and between them congress are in talented and insightful hands.
Minister of Education:
Not much to say here, Beta has had an excellent time this month and will continue to do so in the month to come!
Governor of the Bank of England: (Formally known as MoF)
Carlini has probably been the best minister this month. Still very young, still learning, and already exceptional. The country finances are safe and secure in his capable hands.
Minister of Health and Director of the NHS:
Bigant is an ex-president and ran the NHS back at its peak too. With Blue and Evil taking a well-earned retirement this month, Bigant has graciously agreed to take over this month, in addition to his responsibilities as MoH. He also wants to do some games and the like so look out for those! I’m sure he will be a great asset this month.
Youth First Appointees
The following people won’t slot into a ministry immediately, but rather will experience cabinet, and pick areas a way into the term to focus on. At that point they’ll have full decision making powers as cabinet ministers in their own right, while still being mentored by myself and others in the cabinet. A lot of my personal time will be going into these guys this month and I fully expect each of them to take on a full minister role next term, no matter who is elected. The potential here is great and I’m sure you’ll all wish them every success!
I also consider Madacaion, Boer and LLC to be a part of this program, though they are different cases and each knows in more detail what area they would like to work in.
Additionally, this program is still open should anyone wish to apply. It will be hard work, but ultimately rewarding I think, both for you and for the country!
So, that is my cabinet, should I be elected. I’m sure you will join me in wishing them every success for the UK in the coming month!
All the best,
