Yamisuke asks: Anon from Brazil

Day 2,203, 13:28 Published in Italy Italy by Yamisuke

This evening I read this article by eItalian Reporters about Brazil. As you can read there, after I read it I still didn't know anything new about Brazil; so I decided to make my own interview to get some more informations about the south-American country.
The person I interviewed - whom I want to thank again - asked me to stay anonymous.
So, here's my interview. Enjoy!

Yamisuke: Hello, dear guest. Before starting this interview, can you introduce us to your country?
Anonymous: Brazil is a nice place... Unfortunately right now it's dominated by people wanting power, not the development of our nation. It has been like that for almost a year now, and looks like it's a non-return path. The country is dying along with the people that made it one of the best nations in Erepublik.

Yamisuke: Could you please tell me more about this internal crisis you're painting out?
Anonymous: A year ago, our country was divided in two groups: panela VS frigideira, the first one being the group that ruled the country most of the time since it has been introduced to the game. The second group goal was to destroy the first one to show they can get power, the first one just wanted to play the game and make fun of it.
The frigideira managed to rule most of our TOP 5 parties with some kind of big advertising, if you register in Brazil it will take a few seconds to receive a message from some of those parties. Although it sounds suspicious, no one ever got caught.
Frigideira managed to destroy the fun of the game for most of the oldies, including myself. We don't even try anymore to get power back, as we know that even if we win all our efforts will be destroyed the next month.

Frigideira and panela, respectively 'frying pan' and 'sauce pan'
Yamisuke: Do you (yourself and/or the 'oldies' group) suspect the use of some sort of script to automatically contact new players?
Anonymous: Well, everyone that register in the game will receive a message almost instantly, no matter what time of the day you get in. If that's not suspicious for you, then I don't know what else to say 😛

eRepublik Terms of Service
Yamisuke: That's quite a suspicion, far away from being a concrete fact. Let's assume this group is making use of some automated script to automatically contact new registered players. Do you know that, even though eRepublik Terms of Service deny the use of programs to modify the structure of the website and/or automatise some processes, eRepublik Team generally tolerate these scripts unless they don't force system exploit?
Anonymous: If it can not be proved by the Erepublik team, there's nothing we can do. At some point, when there's no one else to play, they will probably get bored.

Yamisuke: In the past, Brazil had a sort of close relations with USA; does this tie still stands or the new internal management changed it? In general, how the Brazilian foreign policy changed after the rise of this new group?
Anonymous: well, the new internal management used to love Argentina and hate Spain. Relation with the USA has been decling for the past months, right now we are almost entering in a neutral relationship. The main communication between both countries has been dealt by our army elite, which is still quite dominated by the oldies.

Yamisuke: So, at the moment, Elite armies still keep the bond with USA alive, don't they?
Anonymous: exactly.

Brolliance, i.e. the bond between USA and Brazil
Yamisuke: I don't get the 'love' (as you say) of the new Brazilian leadership for Argentina; isn't that country an eternal rival for Brazil?
Anonymous: Actually, Brazil-Argentina relation were of a great friendship, one of the biggest Brazil ever had, but it was the past. Erepublik is a changing game, and we can not keep looking to the past. Argentina and Brazil might become friends again in the future, same for any other nation in the game (as there's no RL rivalery).
But that may also never happen, we should keep looking for the present and short-future.
Yamisuke: What about Spain?
Anonymous: Although the government keeps they as allies, for some weird reason they can't look for them as a friendly nation. If Spain weren't trying to be our friend, they could've attacked us for a long time now, or even tried to become closer allies to our worst enemies.
It has been like that forever, and it wont change. It's like they are saying 'if we are friends one time, we should be forever'. They probably don't know how Erepublik works. Spain has been our enemy and ally many times in Erepublik history, same for Argentina, Portugal and USA.

Yamisuke: As you may have noticed, I'm poorly aware of foreign politics and relationships. Could you briefly remind me the last alliances Brazil was part of or at least related with from two years ago until now?
Anonymous: PHOENIX and TERRA are the most important from the past two years.
Both of them had Argentina as our allies. TERRA being the first one with starting our USA friendship.

Yamisuke: In a recent interview, Brazilian Country President Darth Claudio was asked about a possible break in TWO and which pole Brazil would ally with by choosing between Spain-Poland one and Serbia-Slovenia one. Let's assume it would be legit to talk about a break into TWO by predicting how the countries would associate, let's not bother about the fact that Hungary hasn't been even taken in count. Brazilian CP answered that if the TWO alliance would break, the Brazilian people would decide about the matter, even if he talked about the chance to team up with Spain. So, since the CP didn't want to clearly express himself, I'd like to know what the Brazilian people position would be about it.
Anonymous: Brazil had good relationship with Spain and Poland in the past, so I bet that would be our choice. In general, Brazilians think of Serbia as a nation that doesn't care for their allies. The same rule applies for Poland, but as Brazilians are always connected with their past, that can be forgiven.
Yamisuke: Recently, the Italian Government tried to help Brazil into a battle. Before that, the Italian Government helped Spain first and then Mexico. After these battles, international articles were published, as you can see from newspaper eItalian Diplomacy ( http://www.erepublik.com/it/newspaper/291592/1 ). You can read the article after the help provided to Brazil here: http://www.erepublik.com/it/article/2341262/1/20 .
The goal, in the Italian Govt intention, is to help the break into the TWO alliance.
How does Brazilian Government (and its people) see this try? In general, how do you consider Italy and its latest actions?

Anonymous: That was good and Brazilians did like Italian help. I believe those small steps are leading us into a new path, but it's still not enough to break TWO. They must do it by themselves, and I believe it won't take that long 'til they fall in pieces, once most of the power get into your hands, there's no way you can control it properly. There will always be people changing sides, and once the main pillars of those alliances leave, they wont last.
As the diplomacy around the world is kinda dead, we have a long journey before anything new comes up. Brazil is also doing its best for a change, you can check our main steps in the battlefield 🙂

Yamisuke: You tell me that Brazilian people liked the help provided; noone would dislike help, I suppose. Apart from the idea (maybe utopical) about TWO, you still didn't tell me how Brasilian people see the Italian one and if its vision changed because of recent events.
Anonymous: Well, the truth is: although Brazilians did feel Italian help, our vision changes didn't come from this. As we felt Italian help, we also felt Albanian, Macedonia, Spain, Chile, Iran, Croatia and even Peru help during that event. Our changes are coming mainly from our own people, in a try to ressurrect our country.

DARTH CLAUDIO, current Country President of Brazil
Yamisuke: Here comes the last question. Your Country President, in the recent interview I talked you about, also said that the Brazilian people is now united. Do you see, do you feel the union he talks about?
Anonymous: All I can say is: it's better than before, but it's far alway from any kind of union. The currently government added some of the oldies (or the 'Panela' as I told you earlier) in the staff, but managed to make them useless, as they can't do anything inside the government. It's still a 'who-has-the-power' game for them, and they just want to make an external good look, although we are empty inside.

Yamisuke: The interview is over. Thank you for aswering to some random questions of mine.
Anonymous: Thank you for the interview, and I hope that points out how Brazil is working lately.
Yamisuke: I hope so.

Brolliance.
Nais.
