The Issue with the Voters Club
5440
As I'm sure most of you are aware, the eUSA is becoming increasingly interested in the eRepublik Voters Club. The club sells votes and subscriptions, as well as giving a second job for those willing
to give votes and subs. Unfortunately, the club is also run by ePolish citizens, as well as employing many citizens of ONE countries. More than 2/3 of their "Hall of Fame" are from ONE countries,
ONE supporting countries, or are ONE sympathizers. As Poland is currently our Natural Enemy, it's hard to not find this somewhat distressing.
As more people begin to buy votes with this method, even more will then join in order to compete with them, until it will become impossible to be in the top 5 without the help of this club. This will mean more money into the pockets of the ONE citizens that run and work for this club, which will then help them to be more efficient at fighting us on the other side of the battlefield. Presumably, as their membership grows they'll be able to offer larger amounts of votes, and of course charge higher prices for it. We let all this happen, to help support a sort of votes arms race that we've mostly built up ourselves.
mostly... ^ from Fed wall
I can understand why it would be tempting to want an MM medal or money for subs, especially as many eAmericans are already taking advantage. However, I don't see how we can be so trusting of this club when it's run by loyal ePolish citizens. It's completely contradictory to be funding and working for people who fight for ONE, while at the same time fighting against ONE. We need to be more cautious about who we do business with. Honestly, I dont understand why there haven't been more people speaking out against this.
This article is not meant to cast any blame though, but rather call for a change. It's only natural to try to follow what or whoever has been successful.
Would it be impossible for there to be a similar group with only allies? Surely us having to keep paying Poles isn't an ideal situation.
It doesn't seem likely that we'll be able to return to a system without mass vote buying soon, but it's not worth it to pay ONE as a consequence.

Voters club is neutral.
I agree they are f boring with those shouts.
It wouldn't be that hard to copy, just need someone who is good with websites to set something up and then we can keep the money in America (and its allies)
Whoever sets it up would get rich as well, the people who run the voters club take in about 25-30% profit from it, the rest goes to the people actually clicking, they probably make 20-40k a day from it!
The real problem is, that so many people use it, for such crappy articles that the articles that need to be in the top 5, get bumped out.
The subs might be useful, but article voting/media control is craic always has been and is p worthless.
Voted because you are right and also it allows people who write bad articles to get a lot of votes they don't deserve
i like the idea
Voted.
Buying votes for dumb articles is the dead of the social module in this shitty game.
voted
Vote club didn't pay me my money...
A us voters club is a good idea
V+s
Only way to compete with voters club is another voter club as you know. And yes, it is not hard to implement if you have few time.

I personally, think it`s a good idea.
They do not own a script with multis to vote. They just gathered a bunch of people from around the eWorld ( who are payed btw for every sub/vote they give). I know a lot of "little" (new) players who do that just to earn some money. Of course the ones that thought of this system get their share but it`s nothing illegal.
I for once , i used this so called club, and did get a lot of PM from all kind of players asking to sub to their paper too.

Would have been nice if some from E/T would have thought of that, but if so, the ONE players would say the same thing.
Not to say that this is a good way to f!@# with the admins. They introduce cc in the game via the bot, we get the gold from the game.
Just think about it , we are 240k players in the game, just think if we could all have a newspaper and subscribe to each other; just for the medal ofcourse. Think how much gold would we be drawn from PLATO 😃😃😃
p.s. sorry for my engli
