Rocking The Boat aka IHA part-3

Day 1,997, 18:14 Published in USA USA by stewy

I've been in the afa the last week having a bit of fun with them in my articles. However, as we all move into the moar srs bsns of selecting the next pp, I guess I'll make this one a bit more serious in turn. First off, I'd like to leave a quick pic and a short bit of background on it.

Now, RGR, I appreciate the vote of confidence from you, I really do 😉 While making a CP run is actually the only goal I have left from my e-baby days not accomplished yet (W/L doesn't matter), I don't see it happening anytime soon. It just doesn't mesh well with my current philosophy of having as much FUN as possible.

But anyway.......... Before I conclude my fun times with the party, I figure I'll leave you with some thoughts and opinions (of what little value they may be) for the PP and congress. Whether or not you take them, that's your call and I don't really care, but you're going to get them either way. 😛

PP-
First off, ffs go and update your important posts post about the leadership structure on your forum. I can't speak to the effectiveness of your "triumvirate" setup you use, frankly b/c I've never experienced it in action. I guess having 1 person as the figurehead of the big 3 groups (Serbs/murican/other) makes it easy to know who speaks for you, but who appoints them? How often do they change out? Oh, that's right, the same PP who's always incharge appointed them and they don't change out as long as they don't rock the boat or make the PP mad. Well, something to be said for continuity I guess. However, how much talent and good ideas get wasted by not letting other people get a chance to show their potential and shine? Did you know, one of the most popular expressions I've heard from ex-AFA members that have joined a different party is (paraphrased ofc), "Now I have an individual voice and actually get to do stuff". If I was you, I'd look into opening back up a little more.. I know, I know, that's why you had internal issues before; b/c with a larger leadership there are always going to be differences of opinions. But with different opinions comes different ideas and ways of looking at something.. if you get nothing, you've lost nothing; if you gain something, it's more then you had before right?

Congress-
Now, I couldn't tell you if anything here would actually be plausible to employ, but hey, can't hurt to keep brainstorming eh? Can't really be any worse off then you already are with the current position of "F em" as far as having any say in what happens around here right? Right. Anyway, let's hop to it then. First off, why not try and accomplish a deal. Something along the lines of proposing an "acceptable" candidate to be able to join the congress on the forums and acting as a liason for the rest of the party. Imo, you'd want to use somebody like Shermain. I don't know him, but from what I've seen, the way he carries himself and posts or responds to questions (even when I tried poking a bit) was beyond reproach. I'm sure you'd have to give up making off the wall proposals, but since you never get them to pass anyway, nothing really lost there. I won't really bother touching on the whole cit thing, b/c I doubt that either side will give up their viewpoints on it. You'll continue bringing in ppl with the requirement to join your party, and "Unity" will continue bringing in ppl to fight you. Looks like a big wash and waste of time on that front, however there's always things you can attempt to bring about to become a "productive party" rather then a purely "anti-everything about the establishment" party.. An interesting side not about the cit stuff real quickly though... I find it terribly amusing that AFA has a blacklist of people that have been given cit and not joined the party, while "Unity" has a blacklist of people that take the cit and join AFA.

For $#!t$ and giggles, a few days ago I looked at the AFA pp ballot, and saw the same names ya'll always see on there... shocker right? Nah, not really considering the 10-15 ppl that actually bothered to go to AFA's forum all said the same thing they always do in terms of who should be the next pp candidate... Now, I've got no power. I've got zero control of anything other then my own thoughts and actions. I fall into the same catagory as 99.95% of other people who play this game; we're the "Plebs", and that's alright by me. It just leaves me wondering how long before everyone else looks around the eUS and says, "Hey, didn't we just see this show?"
