Enter the Watchman

I've been on eRepublik for some time now, though I've remained quiet and simply kept an eye on things. By doing so, I've noticed something that seems to have passed over the majority of the truly immersed citizens of the eUSA. When you are on the sidelines of the processes of the eUSA, very little information comes your way.

The tumultuous events of the last few weeks have done the best to show that simply fact. Being so far on the inside, it would seem that the people in the know don't realize how little of that information comes the way of the majority of citizens. It takes a good bit of time for newspaper articles to come to our attention, especially if the high-ups are busy handling crises instead of writing paper articles. Even worse, when things hit the fan, the forums aren't used effectively to transmit that information either. During the Peace vs. Atlantis wars, there was little public information about the what, why, and when.

This is a problem that I've seen observing from the sidelines, and it needs fixing. Therefore, I've decided to leave the sidelines and get into the mess myself in order to help that information get out better whenever possible.

So I decided to start with my party. Ever since I've been around, the CVP has been rather...lackluster. There's been little communication that wasn't within Desertfalcon's newspaper. While that's not a problem itself, there should be more ways for party members to get involved. So when the new forums arrived, I didn't hesitate to get into the fray.

Sure enough, things have already begun to get moving and the Conservative Party is gaining strength and active participation with every passing day. So if any CVP members read this, I encourage you to get involved with the rest of us. A political party only functions right when the membership as a whole is involved.

Watching can be a good thing, but sometimes it's necessary to watch from the center instead of the sidelines.
