Citizen B for Congress - Ontario - DAL

I wish my fellow Ontarians and all Canadians warm wishes in these great times. With this release of the Independent eDaily News, I am officially announcing my run for re-election in Congress for the Province of Ontario under the Democratic Action League (DAL) ticket. Having already served four terms as Member of Congress, and because of my other qualifications, I have the experience and ability to help lead Canada during the exciting times that lay ahead for our country. We are fighting wars abroad and protecting our homeland. Canada is rocking with excitement and ambition. Our economy is booming, but there is more to be done. I have worked with our government to take new strides to improve our economy, our laws and our standing in the world. Our military has created improvements to its fighting systems. Our nation is growing and growing stronger. My priorities for further improving our eCanadian future are heavily embedded in those of the Democratic Action League (DAL). I believe in DAL's values as described in the official DAL Platform as the goal is to make Canada the best country in the world. You can view the DAL platform at this link:

In addition to the very worthy goals of the DAL platform, I will focus my efforts this term on these topics of importance:

Economics - Since the war, with my leadership and that of others, our economy has grown dramatically. Many Canadian entrepreneurs are opening new businesses. Well-paying jobs are now plentiful. Goods are affordable to Canadian citizens. The result is actually a strengthening of Canada's fighting ability, as citizens have the extra money to purchase more and better weapons to rank themselves up on the battlefield. With the success of our economy, however, we have brought foreign competition that operates with unfair advantage, to our markets. We need to do more to support eCanadian business to ensure our profits remain here, and also ensure high paying jobs for our citizens. I have recently proposed some laws to increase our import tariffs to help Canadian businesses, Canadian employees and our tax revenue to ensure that our economy remains strong and our money stays here at home so we all can prosper.

I have been advocating strategic increases in foreign tariffs to support our businesses, employment and wages. I would rather encourage foreign investment into our businesses. I will be working with Congress and economics leaders of Canada, to ensure the stable value of the loonie. I am not just interested in its stability, however. I seek the best value of our exchange rate in terms of CAD to gold, to fuel our economy and the international exports of Canadian businesses. The more global market share that Canadian businesses can take, the more money will flow into Canada. This means even further increases in our standard of living, our prosperity and our government revenue. This is a benefit to all Canadians and will further strengthen our country militarily. It takes money to buy guns and through my continued improvement of the Canadian economy, I will ensure that every Canadian citizen will have access and funding to better quality weapons. A strong Canadian economy encourages citizens of other lands to leave their countries in search of a better life. I am also working with Congress and our Cabinet to develop plans to encourage growth of our population. Population growth is the number one way that Canada can sustain and grow our economy, our markets and our fighting strength.

As Minister of Industries, and as a private businessman, I have built on my economic knowledge to add an understanding of exactly what steps must be made to continue the rapid development of our economy. As your Congressman, I will continue to ensure that the proper steps are taken to sustain the growth of our economy, avoidance of disruption and profitability for all eCanadian citizens and businesses.

Defense and Security – Since we have fought off the vile Huns and their feeble lackeys, we have returned Canada to the people of Canada where it so rightly belongs. This accomplishment - truly one of the greatest that eRepublik has ever seen - warrants the highest kudos to the CAF, our allies, Canada's paramilitary organizations and the ordinary citizen-soldiers of Canada. It is now time to muster our strength and build our defense. We must turn our Generals into Field Marshals. We must grow our strategic reserves of gold, money, weapons, iron and moving tickets. And we must continue to fight down our enemies until they are dead and buried. We have re-built our hospitals. We have built some defense systems for strategic placement. While I agree with most that defense systems are not the be-all-end-all, they serve a valid purpose and can prove to be just enough in case of attack, to affect the outcome of a battle for our side. We must continue to create and maintain strong bonds with our friends and allies; such as we did by joining Eden and creating the 'Broliance', both of which I advocated as your Congress Member. We must remain vigilant.

PEACE is virtually dead, but the danger is not vanquished. Canada must never forget this and be prepared at a moment's notice in our call of duty. We shall never forget the treacherous, traitorous and downright foolish British who, in the guise as our friends, deviously plotted with Hungary and other PEACE nations to divide up our nation. Like many other Congress members, I advocated an embargo of the eUK as a start to repay Britain for their evil destruction of our nation. I was completely against any kind of treaty with the eUK, including the non-aggression pact that was unilaterally signed by President Jacobi without the consent of Congress. Although we have recently signed an unconditional peace with France, as it was in the best interests of our nations to secure our borders, we shall still never forget their opportunism in aiding PEACE, trampling on our soil, and raping and pillaging their way through our lands. As well, we cannot forget the oppressed citizens of the world who still suffer at the hands of the evil former PEACE nations.

Although it was a long time ago, we should also not forget the COBRA terrorist organization who sold off Canada’s most secret military documents to those who would do us harm to satisfy their greed and divide our country. They have not been active. But similar new threats can arrive and we must continue to be wary and protect our means and methods.

We must continue to protect Canada and all her provinces - at all costs - from the enemies abroad and in our midst. As I have before, I will work hard with our President, Congress, our military leaders, our Ministry of Foreign Affairs and our Allies to ensure that Canada and the lands of our allies remain free. I will work with our government to be ever vigilant in rooting out enemy spies, government moles and traitorous citizens. Supporting the CAF, building our fighting ability and our strategic defenses remains my most important mission. Citizen B has ALWAYS said NO to PEACE. ALWAYS. And that means whether PEACE is an organized group of thugs, or a bunch of independent small-time hoods. They will never again match our and our allies’ collective power on the battlefield - not as long as Citizen B is a Congress Member, rest assured.

Government reform - we continue to make improvements to the Canadian government, but there is still more we can do. I am working with Congress to refine the Constitution to ensure our freedoms, rights and security are balanced. I will continue to support increased governmental openness and accountability. I will also continue to advocate and monitor improvements to the CAF and their weapon and material distribution system and logistics.

Other foreign affairs - It is primary that eCanada retains power overseas and carefully tracks of our friends and enemies. We can never allow any situation similar to what happened with the eUK to ever happen again. (The eUK, which was thought to be one of our strongest allies, opened their borders to Hungary and PEACE, that enabled the unmitigated attack on and destruction of eCanada. The government was asleep at the switch.) One effort that is working well is having working ambassadors in every country as well as representatives to the world's major alliances - friend and foe. As Congressman, I advocated major improvements to the Ambassador program and it has been implemented very successfully. Derek Harland is largely responsible through his activities as Minister of Foreign affairs. I will continue to ensure that our Foreign Service is well run and organized. And I will continue to ensure that our foreign intelligence is timely, accurate, and substantial to help keep our borders secure and know our friends from our enemies and what their intentions are.

New Canadian Citizens - Canada needs new citizens as we never have before. We need to bring new citizens in and coach them to being successful and health players in the game. These new citizens are the defense and lifeblood of our great nation of Canada. They are the workers we need to grow our markets. They are the business owners we need to grow our economy. They are the newspaper writers we need to educate, entertain, and grow our diversity. They are the voters we need to ensure government accountability. They are our future politicians we need to improve our government and continue to build our great society. And they are the CAF soldiers we need to join in battle and strengthen Canada against our current and future threats. I have spent countless hours contacting our new citizens through my activities as Congressman, the former Minister of Immigration and the DAL Recruitment Committee Chairperson. I will continue to work with the Ministry of Education to see that our new members are learning how to be successful at eRepublik so that they don't become frustrated and leave or drag down our economy with low wellness. I plan to work with MoE to develop and encourage new programs and provide new ideas for doing so. One of these plans that has been successful is Meals-on-Wheels-Canada (MoWC) implemented by our MoE, Booleus. I urge you to vote for me to ensure that we don't forget about; and we don't fail these new citizens. If we do, do we not fail Canada itself?

My Qualifications Who is Citizen B and what has he done for eCanada? Since my time in Canada, I have accomplished a lot for my beloved country, eCanada, and for my fellow Canadians:

- Current four-term Canadian Member of Congress. I had run and won Congressman duties in Alberta and Prince Edward Island. I have been extremely active in the eCanada forums and have proposed and passed many bills in Congress. I have helped Canada win back our provinces and continue to help plan our future. I have placed five successful bills in Congress to adjust import tariffs and taxes to improve our economy. I am proud to say that I have helped Canada's economy become one of the strongest in eRepublik. I have placed a few successful bills for the safeguarding and transfer of our monetary assets. I have passed bills to help with the routine flow of our finances. Since I have been Congress member, I have also helped countless new Canadian citizens learn how to fight, heal and play the game for their success and the success and strength of eCanada as a nation.

- Current Minister of Industries (MoI). I have been a cabinet member for six terms now. During the worst part of the war, I took the Ministry of Industries and the eleven companies owned by the Canadian government and have rebuilt them into successful enterprises. All of the companies were shuttered. During the war, when Canada had no finances to spare for the MoI, I organized these companies and built them up from nothing. This in turn provided jobs and pay for Canadians and a jumpstart for the Canadian economy. Now that these companies are in Canadian lands, they are more successful than ever. I am proud to say that the Ministry of Industries has completed 2 of the 3 Q5 hospitals we enjoy every day and has a third one in reserve and a fourth one for sale. We have also completed two Q5 defense systems since the regain of our defense system's business in Nuvanut. I anticipate that Congress and the President will place one in Alberta shortly. The Ministry of Industries is now fully functioning and devoted to our jobs programs and building up Canada's strategic stockpile of weapons and other materials.

- Current eCanadian Ambassador to eRomania, one of our most important allies. I have been Ambassador to Romania for five terms now. I maintain contacts within the Romanian Government and Military and have helped bring the Romanian elite soldiers here to Canada to fight help defend our lands. I have endeavored to ensure that Canada will always remain a friend to one of our strongest allies. I have set up an office in the eCanada forums for discussions between Canada and Romania and for posting current events. I have collected and posted a wealth of detailed information including up-to-date contact and status information of all current Romanian government posts, elected officials and military groups.

- Current CAF reserves soldier – I have quickly achieved the rank of General through my heroic actions defending Canada and supporting our allies on the battlefield. I expect to achieve the rank of Field Marshall within two months or less.

- Former Minister of Citizenship and Immigration (CI) – Under my skilled management CI implemented a program to bring foreign fighters to eCanada to help in our defense and bolster the populations of our most important provinces. We also successfully carried out a program to evacuate hundreds of eCanadian citizens trapped behind enemy lines.

- Current (two-term) DAL Party President – Running for the office of the Party President of the Democratic Action League for the first time, I garnered over 90% of the votes (200 in all) in the DAL PP elections due to my efforts at coaching new Canadians to become healthy, successful players contributing to eCanada, and my contributions to growing and improving the DAL party.

- Current DAL party Recruitment Committee Chairperson – Under my leadership, we have grown the DAL party to over 650 members - the 22nd largest party in eRepublik. As a DAL member I will continue to provide effort towards my personal goal of making DAL the best party in eRepublik.

- A friend to eCanada and the world. In my in the game, I have made many friends in this eWorld, over 1800 to date.

- I run successful private businesses, an organization and a newspaper. And I have been active in the eCanada forums, the DAL forums, irc and the new eR Chat Rooms.

In short, I am motivated. I am motivated to making Canada great. My ambition, ethics and drive are focused on one main goal only - to make Canada the number one country in eRepublik. And we are doing just that. I am not power hungry, nor am i divisive. I plan to continue to devote my hard work and dedication to my duties as a Congressmen of Canada. I run an honest, ethical and clean political campaign. I believe I am as qualified, if not more so, than my worthy opponents in this congressional race.

Most of you know me by now, and how strong I value Canada. I am an unrelenting patriot and have devoted all of my boundless energy into improving, supporting and building our nation. I always give my 100% plus - to whatever effort I am involved in. I am dedicated and determined and I am a go-getter. If elected, I will continue to put my energy and drive to work hard in Congress to continue to ensure we defeat our enemies, build our nation, and keep Canada the number one nation that other countries are talking about.
