Military

The Unity Party supports the continued place of Legion as National Military Unit for the eUK. We will also be backing the increase of strikes through the week depending on finances and feasibility of arranging them.

As for an increase of wars, we would aim to see a Training War be set up as soon as possible, though we will not back a neglection of our duty to support our allies in their wars as they have supported us many times in our wars.

The Unity Party is also open to the idea of restoring the NHS as a functioning Military Unit should there be a public demand for it, though it is a recognised fact that private Military Units already do a good job and have NHS funding for young players already.



Foreign Affairs

The Unity Party supports a continuation of our good relations with our allies and neighbours as well as the smooth continuation of MPPs between months. We also support the integration of the eUK into any successor alliance of ONE and making sure that we are protected form a long wipe in the future. While we aim to get a Training War up as soon as possible, The Unity Party recognises that there are dangers from other nations should we leave ourselves unprotected and while our allies are too busy engaged elsewhere to assist us. Practicality over failure is our maxim here.



Domestic

The Unity Party thinks it is critical to maximise the inclusion of young players into government, in observation and minor roles. Fostering relations between the eager youth and the experienced veterans can only serve to benefit the country as a whole and it has the secondary function of developing a pool of future ministers.

Furthermore, we will support the continuation of the Grant scheme for Young players in relation to their Training Grounds as it continues to help get them a leg up in the world and can only serve to make the eUK stronger.

The government should be directly accountable to the people and the cabinet should be open to answering questions about MPP, spending and alliances as well as releasing regular reports to the public.



Forums

The Unity Party believes that a fair and impartial system of forum governance is essential for the UK. That means that the ultimate authority must be a non-partisan person who can judge based on no preconceptions. In this case those people are Kumnaa and Nelsaidi. Most of you won’t know who those people are, but they own the forums, and were players way back in beta. Neither of them play any more, and have no ties to any party.

We do not believe that just because a lot of people ask for the unbanning of a member means that they should automatically be unbanned, rather, it is down to the senior members of the moderation team, whoever they may be.



Citizenship

All citizenship applications should be judged exactly the same. The only reasons citizens are not accepted is if they:
*Fought against the UK directly over a long period of time
*Fought against our allies to the detriment of the UK
*Are from an enemy country (PTO threats)
*Betrayed the UK in a dramatic fashion (stole, gave away plans or companies, left mid-war to fight against us)

In these cases we think it is clear that someone shouldn’t have an automatic right of return but must prove themselves. An apology would also be nice. Repeat offenders should be permanently refused citizenship.




1) Antonio Hamilton

Antonio is a young player who is very eager and keen to get heavily involved in politics. This is his first Congress election and only his second month playing, TUP wishes you all the best on your guaranteed election!


2) The Equalist

Another young player, The Equalist is going for his second term in Congress and is also a member of the Youth First program.


3) Jimbojoy

Claims to be active, is a solid member of Congress who usually comments, raises articles and always seems to vote when needed.


4) Danie Fox

Danie is another one of those players who is highly active in Congress and makes himself known around the place. Spends more time ingame than on the IRC or Forums, but is equally at home on them if need be.


5) Niemand

The brilliant commander of TUP Family and one who never seems to sleep. Niemand is always ready to help out young players and get them on their feet.


6) Boercharel

A solid, dependable member of TUP. He has 4 previous congress terms under his belt and has taken on an important role in TUP Family and is also one of our Ministers of Defence for this month. A valued asset to Congress and The Unity Party.


7) Kravenn

Real life Belgian, long time eUKer. Former Country President of eUK and many time Minister of Foreign Affairs. Kravenn has made great contributions to eUK which also include his award winning new player tutorial. Going for his 33rd term in congress!


8 ) AlittleC4

He has been around for a while; most TUP members will already know him. Made it into Congress for the first time last month and is active around the place., Glad to see him running again!


9) Dan Moir

Long time member of TUP and frequent Party President. One of the most active members of the eUK community and Forum Admin. Great chap and will be good to get his advice and opinions in Congress!


10)Nebojsa

A real life Serb who has made the eUK his home, always seems to be around and is heavily involved in internal TUP politics.


11) Gucio

Gucio is deciding to run for Congress again. Active on the IRC, a well-known member of the community.


12) Apotygma

A previously big contributor returning to full activity and running for his 16th congress term. I hope we have enough voters for him to be elected again.


13) MaryamQ

Maryam, ex-Belgian but a real life American. Though new to eUK politics she is not a stranger to the world of politics having been a member of the Belgian Congress and Belgian CP. We hope that she can get soon involved in the eUK politics as well!


14)Miss Annabelle

Active on the forums and within the Legion, hoping to make it to the Congress this election, we wish you the best of luck!


15) Bohemond4

And this is me, as you can see, I am right down the bottom of the list in order to make sure that other, good people get placed into Congress ahead of me!
