Beste burgers van eNederland,

Het kabinet-Garmr III zit nu over de helft van zijn termijn. In dit artikel zal ik aanduiden waar de regering zoal mee bezig is geweest en wat er nog staat te gebeuren. Maar eerst een kort overzicht van de huidige situatie van het land.



Bezetting en bevrijding
In het kader van de Servische beweging naar het Verenigd Koninkrijk is ons land door Servië van de kaart geveegd. In het vorige artikel schatte ik de duur van de hele operatie op een week, maar dit bleek zwaar overdreven. Na een paar dagen stonden we alweer op de kaart en konden we verdergaan met ons leven. Naast onze noordelijke en oostelijke regio’s hebben we nu ook Zuid-Nederland terug, wat natuurlijk pure winst is.

Het probleem met Zuid-Nederland is dat Polen er nog aanspraak op maakt, vanwege de grondstof Cattle die daar te verkrijgen is. Vroeg of laat zal Polen die grondstof weer terug willen hebben. Op dit moment zijn er nog onderhandelingen gaande over hoe deze situatie moet worden opgelost.

Na deze algemene berichten volgt nu het overzicht van de werkzaamheden van de verschillende departementen.



Ministerie van Binnenlandse Zaken

Naast het schrijven van reguliere informatieartikelen is dit ministerie verantwoordelijk voor de immigratiedienst en het onderhoud van de officiële wiki-artikelen van eNederland. De immigratiedienst loopt en de eerste aanzet voor de wiki-activiteiten is gemaakt.

Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken

Dit departement houdt zich momenteel vooral bezig met het verkennen van de verschillende mogelijkheden wat betreft bondgenootschappen. Hierbij moet, zoals het nu staat, uiteindelijk een keuze worden gemaakt tussen aansluiting bij PANAM of NWO of neutraal blijven. We willen graag weten wat jij ervan denkt. Geef je mening op het forum!
Naast deze verkenningen is het ministerie bezig met het opstarten van nieuwe ambassades in West-Europa; dit project is nog in ontwikkeling.

Ministerie van Oorlog

Dit ministerie is de afgelopen tijd vooral bezig geweest met het coördineren van de strijdkrachten tijdens de verzetsoorlogen die Nederland weer op de kaart hebben gezet. Dit alles gebeurde in samenwerking met de president, de officiële commandant der strijdkrachten.

Naast deze lopende zaken is de minister aan een heus hervormingsprogramma begonnen. Zo zijn de namen van de divisies, omwille van de herkenbaarheid, veranderd in namen als Marine (voorheen DFA) en Luchtmacht (voorheen Elites). De gewone burgers vallen nu onder de Landmacht. Daarnaast worden de mogelijkheden voor verdere specificering, uitbreiding en hernoeming van de verschillende divisies en rangen onderzocht.

De Marine (DFA) blijkt een groot succes en moedigt beginnende spelers aan om actief te worden en te blijven. Er zijn nog enkele plekken beschikbaar, dus als je interesse hebt, neem dan contact op met de minister. (Activiteit op het forum en de IRC-chat is een pre.) Voor verdere uitleg van het systeem is hij ook beschikbaar.

Ten slotte zal de Luchtmacht (Elites) volgens een nieuw rankingsysteem worden ingedeeld. Waar voorheen de top 10 van de strength-ranglijst lid was (mits actief), zal dat voorrecht binnenkort voorbehouden zijn aan de top 10 van toegebrachte schadepunten per gevecht (mits actief). Met alle huidige leden en kandidaat-leden zal voor het einde van de maand contact worden opgenomen over de nieuwe indeling.

Ministerie van Financiën

Dit ministerie is natuurlijk verantwoordelijk voor het huishoudboekje van de staat. Deze maand heeft het Ministerie van Oorlog 10.000 NLG ontvangen voor lopende zaken, wat neerkomt op het grootste deel van de uitgaven van de Nederlandse staat.

Met de huidige financiële en economische crisis is het belangrijk dat de koers van de NLG niet te ver zakt. Het ministerie probeert de koers van de NLG dan ook op 0.013 Goud te houden en de Goudkoers niet lager dan 90.

In het kader van financiële transparantie is bovendien besloten twee keer per week een financieel overzicht te publiceren. Het eerste deel van deze spannende reeks is reeds gepubliceerd. Dat er veel meer mogen volgen!

The third Garmr cabinet has passed the half-term mark. In this article I will explain what the government has been up to lately and what’s in the works. But first, a brief overview of the country’s current situation.



Occupation and liberation
As part of the Serbian trek to the United Kingdom, our country was briefly erased from existence. In the last article, I estimated the duration of the entire operation to be about 7 days. That turned out to be a gross overstatement; after only a few days, the country was back on the map and we could merrily move on with our lives. In addition to our northern and eastern regions, we once again control the Southern Netherlands, which is fortuitous, to say the least.

The problem with the Southern Netherlands is the Polish claim of its Cattle resource. Sooner or later, Poland will want the resource back. The government is currently negotiating a solution to this problem.

After these remarks of a more general nature, see below for updates from the various ministries.



Ministry of Home Affairs

In addition to writing regular news articles, this ministry is responsible for the immigration service and for keeping the official wiki articles up to date. The immigration service is up and running and the first steps for the wiki activities have been taken.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs

This department’s primary current activity is the exploration of alliance options. As things stand now, the options are limited to joining PANAM or NWO or remaining neutral between the two. We’d like to know what you think. Please give your opinion on the forum!
Furthermore, the ministry is working on reopening embassies in Western Europe; this project is still in development, though.

Ministry of War

This ministry’s primary occupation has been the coordination of our forces during the resistance wars that served to put our country back on the map. All of this happened in close cooperation with the president, the official commander-in-chief.

In addition to these current affairs, the Minister has started a reform spree. For instance, for the sake of clarity and recognizability, the division names have been changed to names like Marine (formerly DFA) and Luchtmacht (Elites). The common civilry is enrolled into the Landmacht. Besides, the possibilities of further division and rank specification, expansion and renaming are being investigated.

The Marine (DFA) turns out to be a big success in motivating starting players to become and stay active. There are still some places available, so if you’re interested, please contact the Minister. (Forum and IRC chat activity is preferred.) He’s also available if you need a more detailed explanation of the system.

Last but not least, the Luchtmacht (Elites) will be arranged according to a new ranking system. Previously, the top 10 of the strength ranking could be members (if active), but soon it will be the top 10 people with most damage per battle (if active). All members and eligible members will be contacted about the new arrangement before the end of this month.

Ministry of Finance

Of course, this department is responsible for the country housekeeping book, so to say. This month, the Ministry of War received 10.000 NLG for current business, which amounts to the state’s greatest expense by far.

In the current financial and economical crisis, it’s very important to have a strong and stable currency. The ministry is trying its best to keep the NLG rate at 0.013 Gold and to keep the Gold rate from dropping below 90 NLG.

As part of financial transparency, it was decided to publish a financial report twice a week from now on. The first part of this thrilling series has already been published. May many more follow!
