Join the new world

The February 2011 Country President Elections, is finally here! I want to wish all my competitors good luck and announce my cabinet for this term. Applications opened on 28 January and attracted a wide range of applicants. Those chosen met the skills I required will do an excellent job.


Deputy Prime Minister – jamesw (aka Jaga)

Calming and gentle, yet able to assume authoritative command of a situation at a moment's notice, Jaga possessed great leadership quality. Revered as their elder by all of the ThunderCat nobles up to his transcending to the Astral World, Jaga's wisdom lives on as the spiritual advisor to Lion-O.


Minister of Defence – Artela (aka Cheetara)

Gentle but tough, Cheetara is no damsel-in-distress, often proving a pivotal figure in the downfall of the ThunderCats' enemies, and is unquestionably regarded as a true equal to the other ThunderCats.


Minister of Finance - Smack (aka Tygra)

Tygra is the architect of Cats Lair, a highly intelligent and thoughtful ThunderCat whose primary strengths are his mental abilities. Although naturally shy and peaceable in personality, Tygra is nonetheless a formidable adversary in combat and will never shy away from battle in the defence of his friends or the innocent.


Minister of Trade – Rory Winterbourne (Needed the characteristics of Bengali)

Bengali is the younger brother of Tygra, and although he lacks some of his brother's knowledge, as a fighter he is the equal of his elder sibling, possessed of a strong heart, courage and seemingly endless resourcefulness.


Minister of Foreign Affairs - keram10 (aka Lynx-O)

The oldest and wisest of the "new" ThunderCats, all of the ThunderCats look to Lynx-O for insight into the many perilous situations they encounter. Possessed of a great clarity of vision, Lynx-O uses his blindness almost to his advantage, his lack of sight enabling him to always look beneath the surface for a situation's inner truth.


Minister of Entertainment - Sir Humphrey Appleby (aka snarf)

Snarf can be slightly absent-minded and bumbling, perhaps due to his advancing years, but can always be called upon to ably aid the ThunderCats whenever he is needed.


Minister of Technology – Draaglom (aka Panthro)

Panthro is unquestionably the most naturally aggressive of the ThunderCats. Panthro is happiest tinkering with machinery, and has an almost paternal affection for the Thundertank, of which he is very protective and which he regularly refers to as his "baby"! A warrior in the truest sense of the world, Panthro is always a force to be reckoned with.


Minister of Home Affairs - betafoxtrot (aka WillyKat)

Inquisitive and impetuous, the Thunderkittens have been known to stir up their fair share of problems for the others to deal with, but with their good consciences and brave spirits they can always be relied upon to do the right thing in the end.


Ministry of Information and Education - Stefan1992 (aka WillyKit)

Accurately described as a "cunning junior duo", the Thunderkittens are small in size and still maturing, yet still serve a vital role in the ThunderCat ranks. Inseparable despite their competitive natures, both WilyKat and WilyKit are impatient to grow up and take their place amongst the adult ThunderCats.


While not everyone got the roles they wanted, this should s not to discourage applicants from applying for Under Minister roles. As I recognise the importance of uMs and the part they play in government consequently, I am delighted to announce the first ever Under Minister Award. This will apply to all ministries and the winner will be awarded by me personally.
