Fhaemita's Presidential Manifest

Day 1,071, 13:26 Published in South Africa Netherlands by Fhaemita The Apostate

Introduction

My name is Fhaemita Malodorous. As I already stated in my Declaration of intent to run for president I, Fhaemita Malodorous will be running for president this upcoming elections of November 2010. As many know I’ve been planning to run for a long time. In July I wanted to run but I was too late to declare my candidacy for president. In the last three months, I’ve set my own ambitions aside and supported Grimstone in his three month run as President of South Africa and had the privilege of being vice president for two of the terms under Grimstone. He declared before the last president elections, that this third time would also be his last term and thus, in this upcoming election, I will have the honour to be running and will hopefully be elected president of South Africa.I hope I will have the honour to serve as your president, a president of the people and a president for the people.

Stances

Domestic Affairs

I am a firm believer in Liberté, égalité, fraternité (Freedom, Equality and brotherhood).

Everybody in South Africa is free, free to do or stand where he or she wants to stand, believe what he or she wants to believe and say what that person wants to say as long as it's not hurtful or offensive in any way to somebody else. Everybody is equal. Nobody is less just because he is a lower level, has less experience or any thing else. We need to to stick up for each other, we are all brothers, we all want what is best for our country. Sometimes this means setting our own pride and ego aside and doing what is best for our country and not what is best for our self.

Foreign Affairs

We are not part of any alliance, although we are very friendly with both Eden and Broliance. I think it is important to join one of these alliances. My personal preference and the preference of most people in South Africa goes to Broliance. I know that one of the previous governments would have gotten us successfully into the Broliance was it not for the Hungarian PTO. Of course except Broliance, Eden is a very important ally whom we owe a lot to. It is important to keep the lines of communication between friendly countries and us open. Also we should not be scared to keep the lines of communication open with less friendly countries. We need to keep our friends close and our enemies even closer.

Financial & Economical Affairs

The good news is that the wages in our country are pretty high and I still see the wages gradually rising. The bad news is that all the tax money and all the other income the country goes to the Hungarians. They have the majority and congress and use their congress majority to move all the ZAR and gold to private organisations and donating the money to themselves and not using it for the betterment of our country. The Provisional Government needs some sort of income to fund for instance the eSAAF. We should try and think of new ways to get some income and try to reduce the income of that goes to the Hungarians and somehow instead give us that income.

Military Affairs

The military is one of the South Africans biggest assets. Without out the army, and the help of our allied nations and friends in Broliance and Eden, there would be no South Africa. Since v2 the eSAAF has shrunk but in the last months, the eSAAF has been actively recruiting people to fill up the empty spots we have. Although we cannot, of course, force everybody to join. I feel that it is the duty of every South African Citizen to join the army and the defend the county against enemies like Brazil, Argentina, Indonesia and other nations that would do us harm. We need every able citizen to fight for his or her country because every damage they do, even if it's not a lot, does count. Currently the Training Division is inactive but eventually I hope we get things going enough to start up the Training Division again to start training new soldiers.

Social Affairs & Education

We need a social country, a country that helps its citizens, keeps them involved and keeps them engaged with fun stuff, competitions and what else. Helping citizens is a important part of of what our government should to in order to keep the citizens happy. We also need to educate our citizens especially the newer ones, to explain to them how every things works and and hopefully they understand the game and they are welcomed into the community that will stop less people from quitting the game. Our mentoring efforts are therefore very important to educate newer people and keep them interested. A happy citizen and well educated citizen is a citizen that is less likely to leave or move away to another ecountry.

Security & Immigration

Altough the ministry of security has done a excellent job the last few months with the PTO they could not stop the PTO’ers entering and expanding their numbers in our country because of the use of multi’s. Hunting down these multi’s and reporting them like they have been doing needs to be done to try and not make matters worse. Coordinating our elections efforts has been one of the major task the ministry of security has been given. We must be very careful to whom we give the citizenship because of the small numbers of citizenship we can give due to the limited number of congress members we have. We have to make sure that the people who we give citizenship, also keep their citizenship for at least a couple of months.

Miscellaneous

Population Development

South Africa is a small country with a small number of citizens. We have a lot of companies, especially in titanium as South Africa is one of the few countries with a Titanium high regions, and our wages are pretty decent. Although that is the case, not enough new people are willing to move to South Africa. Previous attempts that were made by the Minister of Tourism were not as successful as we hoped. I therefore think that we should not look in the game for new South Africans but outside the game in Real Life. We need to attract South Africans to come and play erepublik. A good way is “advertise” on forums for erepublik, big busy forums to make people aware of erepublik as well as the use new media like Facebook, Twitter, Youtube etc.

eSouth-African Health-care Center

I would like to reopen the eSouth African Health Care Center (eSAHC) that was mothballed with the start of v2 when gifting was not possible anymore and at the time wasn’t possible to eat manually. Now that this has changed, I think it is time to reopen the eSouth African Health Care Center. The Hungarians have a similar thing, the Emergency Ambulance Service, but it can take up to 12 hours before you get some food and the question is, if you will get food. I know there is no money available to fund this but I am sure that there are enough private citizens who will be willing to donate money for this like a lot of people donated gold and money before the eSAHC was closed.

Political Takover

I have mentioned a few times already of the Political Takeover that we are currently under by the Hungarians. We must do anything possible to get control back, everything except cheating like the Hungarians have been proven to do. For me getting our country back is of utmost importance and has one of the highest priorities if I am elected as president. The fight for freedom comes at the cost of what may seem less democracy because of our ATO efforts. I know some people have a problem with this but it is the better of two evils. If we take back control of our country, we can hopefully have a full democracy but for now we have to do everything we can to get our country back.

Cabinet

I have some ideas for a cabinet that is a bit different from the cabinet that we had in previous months. There is one new ministry that has taken the place of the ministry of Social Development and the Ministry of Information and also the Ministry of Internal Affairs has been disbanded. Most of the ministries will become director positions or the responsibility will be given to another ministry. There will be one new minister, the Minister of Liberation Negotiations. The position of the president is a very hard one that takes up a lot of the presidents time. I want to take a more hands-off approach with my presidency compared to previous presidents meaning that I want to delegate a lot of the tasks to ministers and my vice president. Many of the people who have held a minister’s positions for multiple months are more then capable of this responsibility. A president does not have to do everything on his own.

Vice President

In most cabinets in eSouth Africa, the vice president has been a job without a exact job and was dependant on how much the president delegated to the vice president as everybody went to the president for everything. My plan for the vice president is that except for being the vice president, he is also the president of the council of ministers. This basically means that is the chief minister and all the ministers report to him as well as coming to him with problems they might have. He also takes over the task that was done by the minister of internal affairs to, check up on the ministries and make progress reports of the ministries.

Ministry of Domestic Affairs

This is a new ministry that will combine the Ministry of Social Development and the Ministry of Information. This is a big ministry and will have two deputy ministers, the Deputy Minister for Social Development and the Deputy Minister for Information & Population. Those two ministries will have the responsibility for the directors under them including the Director of Population Development, Director of Information and the Director of Wiki and all the other directors that previous where part of the ministry of Social Development.

Minister of Liberation Negotiations

This is not a new position, this position was created in September 2009 and was also part of the cabinet of October 2009 and both months was held by Ines Schumacher. Grimstone has been working very hard to get our country back during last 2,5 months and has all the contacts as well as knowing the people who need to be contacted. If I would take over, it would take me a while to for know who is who etc. So he will continue his efforts to get our country free from the Hungarians. This position will be taken by Grimstone and he will work together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and I in our efforts to regain our country.

I hope this will clarify what I would like to do with this country and what I stand for. I hope that you, the true citizens of South Africa, deem me good enough to be your president and will vote for me in the elections. I am very aware that I have three superb opponents in these elections. All of them have lots of experience in government and Mark was already president for two term in January and February and knows what it is to be president of this great country. I hope I will be given the chance to show you what I can do and show you that I am worthy of your trust and confidence if I am elected.

"The universe speaks in many languages, but only one voice. The language is not Afrikaans or Zulu or Xhosa or Northern Sotho or Tswana or Sotho or English. It speaks in the language of hope; it speaks in the language of trust; it speaks in the language of strength, in the language of compassion. It is the language of the heart and the language of the soul. And always it is the same voice. It is the voice of our ancestors speaking through us and the voice of our inheritors waiting to be born. It is the small still voice that says, 'we are one'. No matter the blood, no matter the skin, no matter the world, no matter the star. We are one! No matter the pain, no matter the darkness, no matter the loss, no matter the fear. We are one, here, gathered together in common cause. We agree to recognize this singular truth, and this singular rule: that we must be kind to one another, because each voice enriches us and enables us. And each voice lost diminishes us. We are the voice of the universe, the soul of creation, the fire that will light the way to a better future. We are one. We are one."
