Declaration of Intent to Run For President

Day 1,063, 11:05 Published in South Africa Netherlands by Fhaemita The Apostate

Fellow South African citizens,

Today I stand before you all with pride, proud to be South African citizen in this extraordinary place
that we call erepublik, as a candidate for the presidency of South Africa, mindful of, and humbled by the magnitude of the tasks ahead that I hope to fulfill this upcoming month.

Today I stand here today, not because I necessarily desired to be the one giving this address, or to fulfil some sort of self-imposed endurance test. I am speaking today to fulfil a vow, a vow to keep South Africa safe from its emenies and but tasked with the goal of hoping my life’s experiences will offer some guidance to you through this, as a patriot—unafraid to be called to action to secure my country, whether by vote, or debate, or outspokenness, or even by sword in her defense, if need arise—unafraid to be called "patriot," South African, or just citizen.

Today I stand before you, a person molded by my life’s path. Tomorrow I would be further shaped by my activities today, especially this activity, right now. I am, in fact, a work in progress. My goals are to to build and strengthen my leadership skills; to unleash the potential that I know is within me, as it is within us all; to excel to the highest level; to be able to influence others to achieve their goals; most importantly, to help those around us less fortunate.

Today I stand before you, and what an incredible privilege to be a public servant and to join the ranks of so many talented and dedicated individuals who have sacrificed in order to serve others. What an incredible privilege to have the trust and been given the possibility to run and the presidency of South Africa. And what an incredible privilege to be a part of a country we call eSouth-Africa.

"The universe speaks in many languages, but only one voice. The language is not Afrikaans or Zulu or Xhosa or Northern Sotho or Tswana or Sotho or English. It speaks in the language of hope; it speaks in the language of trust; it speaks in the language of strength, in the language of compassion. It is the language of the heart and the language of the soul. And always it is the same voice. It is the voice of our ancestors speaking through us and the voice of our inheritors waiting to be born. It is the small still voice that says, 'we are one'. No matter the blood, no matter the skin, no matter the world, no matter the star. We are one! No matter the pain, no matter the darkness, no matter the loss, no matter the fear. We are one, here, gathered together in common cause. We agree to recognize this singular truth, and this singular rule: that we must be kind to one another, because each voice enriches us and enables us. And each voice lost diminishes us. We are the voice of the universe, the soul of creation, the fire that will light the way to a better future. We are one. We are one."

Onwards in Unity & Solidarity!
We Shall Prevail!
Ons vir Jou Suid Afrika!

Fhaemita Malodorous
Vice President
Presidential Candidate.
