Ejected...for no reason.

Hey, I'm back! I know nobody missed me, that's sure. But I have a story to tell you and a question.
Three days ago, I decided to log onto eRepublik - like I do everyday - and check my account, fight a bit, all that. But when the page finished loading, it was not something I expected - it was a page telling me that I had been "temporarily banned for 3 days".
Well, thanks. In a changing eWorld like what we have today, 3 days is a lot. While I was away, I got ejected from my MU (the Praetors), the government completely changed, Canada made a new alliance, I almost missed my shot at the poetry competition (thank goodness I wasn't up first) and who knows what else. That would be fair... if I was actually doing something illegal. I wasn't. I was just happliy playing eRepublik when this happened.
In other news, my brother got banned. He wasn't as lucky as I was. He got a permanent suspension and his appeal did nothing to help it. He didn't do anything wrong either. We were both law-abiding, good citizens of eRepublik and look what happened to us. So in conclusion, stay away from the eRepublik admins!!!
Finally, my question. What happened while I was away?

You and your brother use the same internet connection?
Yeah...why?
That doesn't mean anything anymore Funky.
"The use of the same IP by more than one citizen is NOT considered to be a criterion of determining multiple accounts. Citizens are strongly advised not to make any interactions between accounts on the same IP.
Citizens in the same household are strongly cautioned to never share passwords with each other or "account sit"."
Basically what this means is the typical user has no more than 3 or 4 accounts on one IP and those accounts don't send each other stuff or work for each other. Usually this is not a problem.
Who's your brother? battlestrikers234?
Yeah.
Its always best to use tor browser when you play this game from a location where others might also play. Especially if you're in an apartment or a dorm where other people share the IP. I don't care what eRep laws say, you know damn straight they are looking at requests coming from the same IP/MAC and they are checking to see if those accounts are working together. ie, sharing gold profits, buying from one another, working for the same company, voting for the same candidates, etc. I don't blame them. That's the stuff i'd look for if I was looking for people running multiple accounts. However, for the life of me, I don't understand why it matters. Multiple accounts make the player base look larger than it actually is.
You can probably thank Wes Lewis for making such a scene during the elections. There were a significant number of bans given out to eCanadian, which I'm assuming is most people who have shared a connection and there's been interaction between them.
My conclusion from all this? Your account bought more gold then your brother's did. You get the temp, he gets the permanent.
Yeah... eRepublik is all about who spends more on gold nowadays, isn't it?
I made sure to put you at the bottom of the list so you didn't get disqualified 😁
Thanks.
I told Jenavive, figured you would be back 😮
Thanks to you as well, then!
~hyuu~
Admit it, boy-o, you were behind the UF multis all along. I have proof...well, I have an accusation, and that's kinda like proof.
I agree an accusation is just one piece of evidence away from proof, that's close enough for me
Well,no. If you would bother to look at my profile, I'm part of the CPF. Get some real proof before you make a accusation, smart one!
He's just trollin.
So you admit to ruynning multi's for the CPF????
😛
No...you're trolling, aren't you? 😃
Is this a proven proof or an unproven proof? Because... a proof is a proof, and when you have a good proof, it's because it's proven.
unless you have two awesome excuses which would trump a proven proof
ATLAS is not an alliance. Simply a peace treaty.
Thanks, I'll keep that in mind...obviously you understand things better than me.
Only have a general idea l. Politically, I'm a noon.
Well, your "general idea" is better than my knowledge of politics...*laughs*
