You see, it's because of Claire. Claire Littleton.


Yup, that one.

You see, she's a pretty cool person who just happens to be running for POTUS. So to allow you, the reader, to know her just a little bit better, I went ahead and made the big call to sacrifice my time to bring this wonderful woman (and her sexy feet) into your eLives.


And what a sacrifice it was...

Yes, it was a sacrifice my friends, but I hope you will find it to be a worthy one for your part.



Athanaric: I'd first like to thank you for letting me do this interview. You have been very involved in politics. What made you finally decide to run for President?
Claire Littleton: I've always thought about running for President, but never thought I would actually do it. This month, I strategically took over the 6th Party because the eTerrorist Pizza the Hut was in power of it. Once I took control of the party, I noticed he had his name on the ballot for PotUS. I couldn't allow that, so to occupy the place on the ballot, I put myself. From then on, I started getting endorsements from other parties and then articles popped up about me. Someone made an organization and started publishing that I'm running. I decided that now would be a good time as any to run... My support blossomed and with how the game has been going, I've decided that now is perfect. We need excitement in the game, and excitement is one thing I can bring.

Athanaric: Your opponents are well established Americans, much as yourself. What makes you think you would do a better job at POTUS than Cromstar or Colin Lantrip?
Claire Littleton: I have nothing but respect for Colin. In fact, I was working with him prior to my official entrance into the race. I think Colin would be a great leader, but some think that he lacks the persona that America needs right now. With people leaving the game and leaving to new countries. We need a leader who can get the people to rally... we need someone who can bring game retention for the eUS. Colin is quiet and I'm not sure he can bring that.

Athanaric: Alright, next question. What do you consider to be your strong points?
Claire Littleton: Strong points. Well, leading is one of my strongest points. That and rallying the people. I will be the first to admit I know only the basics of the economy and haven't served in the military for as long as my opponents, but I am a good leader. A good leader is the best attribute to a PotUS. Also, I am a good organizer of people and their talents. Combine the two and I feel that = PotUS.

Athanaric: And what are some of the highlights of playing the game for you?
Claire Littleton: Highlights of eRep... hmmm. That's a tough one. Well, I'd say the people are the biggest highlight. You can't have this game without the creative minds and crazy bastards. In terms of events, I'd say that WW3 was a fun time... elections are always exciting... but I'd have to say that backroom politicking is always the best source of fun. Overall, war is what makes the eWorld spin round. That's why the basis of my campaign has been war. War creates baby booms, economy booms and player retention.

Athanaric: Let's talk about that basis for a bit. You have listed as your campaign goals your intention to control an unprecedented 33 new regions, including all of Russia, India, and what looks like a good portion of the Iberian Peninsula. My only questions are why, and how?
Claire Littleton: The question isn't why, it's why not? Yes, I understand that holding 33 new regions seems like a stretch and honestly, it probably won't happen... however, in light of the new MPP structure, you are going to see another rise in Super-Powers in this game. Remember eIndo? eHungary? This time, small countries are going to be more valuable and war is going to be more commonplace. The eUS has never shot to the Super Power level. We are one of the biggest and best in the eWorld. I feel our time has come. I will say, however, regardless if we occupy those territories, we will aide our allies into occupying those areas. Personally, however, I would like to take all of Russia for ourselves.



Athanaric: Outside of controlling a good majority of the Eastern Hemisphere, are there any other military focuses that you have in mind for America?
Claire Littleton: There is a fine line between Diplomacy and Military action. With that said, if we want to survive in months to come, we will need to strengthen our relationships with our allies. If that means amping up our current allies, so be it, if that means taking on new allies, so be it. Things are going to change and we need to be ready for it. On all fronts, both militarily and diplomatically.

Athanaric: Speaking of new relationships, new countries are entering the fray of the game. What are your plans for eAmerica’s interactions with these new powers?
Claire Littleton: For the most part, I would like to stay out of their development for now. eTaiwan is going to be a hot spot for controversy due to their RL situation. The two European countries are out of our grasp, but I'd obviously like to protect them from our enemies. New Zealand is in a good spot in the eWorld to support and befriend as soon as possible. It's hard to tell this early in the game because we don't know the specifics as to who is looking to occupy these regions initially. Time will tell and we will be watching closely.

Athanaric: There has been discussion recently about changing alliance politics with America. What are your thoughts on eAmerica’s current alliance relations?
Claire Littleton: Currently, they are becoming increasingly unstable. As stated in my previous answer, we need to work hard and fast in tightening up our allies and re-evaluate the current status of EDEN and Penix. I don't want to go into detail publicly, but there is action that needs to be taken.

Athanaric: With this massive expansion of our country, we will need some serious domestic revision in terms of control in order to maintain these new territories. What are some of your plans for maintaining such order of such a plausibly expansive empire?
Claire Littleton: Our expansion isn't going to happen overnight. In fact, the entirety of it won't happen within one term. What we will need is a big population increase to maintain these new territories. We will also need to have very strong bonds with our allies. We won't be able to protect ourselves overseas without them. Domestically, all of our agencies will have to amp up. It's that simple. Our military is the one force that will have to increase the most. We have excellent military leaders so I don't doubt that they can't handle the extra load, but we need more active citizens to participate in battle. Politically, we will need the best and brightest directors of each of our intelligence programs as well. Parties will also have to step it up in terms of helping retention. Everyone will have to contribute, but I feel that if we push forward we will start drawing people into the game more.

Athanaric: If you could pick one thing that could be considered the focus of your administration, what would it be?
Claire Littleton: Reviving eRep, specifically the eUS. Population increase, more specifically, active population increase. I didn't make it a goal because I don't consider it goal-worthy. It's something that is a necessity. War and expansionism will give us the means to increase activity both politically and militarily; the two main aspects of this game.



Athanaric: In the last Party President election, you ousted Pizza the Hut from the Conservative Party and renamed it R.A.G.E.. What are you plans for this parties roll in America now that it is back in American hands?
Claire Littleton: I've been working with the CIA to determine the status of the remaining members. It's been a difficult task because we need to weed out who are the Hungarians, who is dead, who is a supporter of Pizza and who is just 2-clicking. Slowly, but surely, we are figuring it out. Our main goal right now is the just dismantle the party and get its numbers low enough so that it isn't a threat to national security any more.

Athanaric: Were you to be elected, you would be the first female eUS president. Why do you think it has taken so long for this to occur?
Claire Littleton: I ask myself that question quite often. We've had females run in the past such as PrincessMedyPi and Fionia, but for one reason or another they didn't make it to the big seat. I can't say it's because they are female, but they just had very strong competitors. Really, I think the reason is the male to female ratio in the game. We have lots more men to run for positions.

Athanaric: Your cabinet choices as well as your running mate have yet to be announced at this point. Is there any way we could get a sneak peak of the people you wish helping you? 😉
ClaireLittleton: They will be revealed tonight. I assure you that there will be some newcomers to the political game from other government positions, though. Also, I am a firm believer of bringing up the people who show potential. You may see one or two new names in the cabinet.

Athanaric: You’re taking this run fairly lightly in terms of seriousness, which is not necessarily bad. It's entertaining. My question is what importance does fun play in terms of your candidacy and how do you see it helping you to establish your goals?
Claire Littleton: It's been a misunderstanding that I'm taking this campaign lightly. The thing is, I just arrived to the party a little late, fashionably late, as it is. Of the 3 articles put out over the past days, only 1 is my words. The other two were from an unnamed supporter which I had no control over. As for fun, this is a game and people often forget that. Fun is hugely important, but it has to be done right.

Athanaric: Outside of the countries you are seeking to invade and the new ones being introduced. Are there any other countries you are looking at to establish relations with again?
Claire Littleton: I'm not actively looking to go out and make all new friends, no. Like I said before, we need to strengthen our current allies. One thing that always disappointed me was our relations with the British. I'd love to mend those relations, but I feel the wounds are too deep to repair without serious scar tissue; meaning, our relationship will take a long time to heal and most likely still be ugly in the end.



Athanaric: From where you stand, where do you see America’s future heading, from an economic, military, and general social stance?
Claire Littleton: It depends on 3 things. 1) The effectiveness of the Exec. to bring in new players and keep the 2-clickers active. 2) Maintaining a strong military and introducing more war. 3) The admins and their toying around with the game. V2 was a huge mistake, but it seems the new War Mod and more changes to come will help that. If those 3 things can be accomplished, I see America's future heading to bigger and better things.

Athanaric: What would you like every player to know about you that perhaps they have not already learned?
Claire Littleton: I'm a pretty public figure. I'm controversial and if they'd read my past articles in my paper, they'd see that. People tend to say drama follows me around, and I hated that, but I've come to accept it and like it. Drama = fun. Look at all the big events in this game's past. All drama-based whether it was war, political or just flat out lulz. GF day is a good example. With that said, I also know when to be completely serious and take charge when necessary. I've accomplished a lot in my time in this game and it wasn't all due to drama. It was due to good planning, good leadership and keeping the people in mind.

Athanaric: Is there any advice you think every new player can use to succeed?
Claire Littleton: Yes, even when the game seems dull or boring, stick with it. The more exp. you get, the more fun the game can become. Also, become more active in all aspects of the game. I always think the Media is a great start for people. Get your name out there. This is like high school. If you sit quietly in the corner, you won't get invited to any of the big parties.

Athanaric: Is there anything else you would like to say?
Claire Littleton: Whoever wins this election, whether it be me or Colin, the country will be in good hands. Of course, however, I'd love everyone to RAGE with me on the 5th and vote for me! Good luck to my opponents!
