RAZBIJANJE MITA/ BREAKING THE MYTH

U eSvijetu postoje razno razne priče i mitovi koji se oduvjek provlače među igračima. Naprimjer da je Romper admin ili čak skupina admina , da se srbi nebeski narod , da su brazilci i indonežani najjači boteri svih eVremena , da poljaci nemaju bot vojske..itd itd.. Neki mitovi su istiniti , a neki nisu , no ima jedan mit koji me već neko vrijeme kopka ,čak bi mogao reći da me i smeta.

To je mit o nevjerojatnoj sposobnosti eSrpske diplomacije i izrazitog talenta eSrpskih igrača u tom područjuove igre.

Naime , ja ne znam ni koji su to igrači. Neki će reći da niti ne trebam znati ako nisam u tim krugovima i da je to samo još jedan plus njihovoj sposobnosti da iz sjene vode savez i ovu igru.

Iz pogleda na mapu i iz ishoda zadnjih bitki i napada na eSrbiju možemo jedino zaključiti da su se opet izvukli i uspjeli obraniti, te eHrvatskoj opet slijedi brisanje. U ključnom trenutku u pomoć su im stigli ePoljaci i ostali saveznici te su uspjeli odbiti sva tri napada i preuzeti inicijativu.

Ali ako pogledamo situaciju iz druge perspektive vidjet ćemo da njihova vrlina pregovaranja i nije baš na zavidnoj visini.

Kao što svi znamo eSrbija je oduvjek , još od predsjednika Borkana (respect Borkan), jedna od najmnogoljudnijih zemalja erepublika. To znači da imaju na raspolaganju najveći DMG , a smisao ove igre je ratovanje za teritorij.
Svaka , al baš svaka eDržava u erepubliku u svakom trenutku okolo traži neki extra DMG kod saveznika ili plaćenika za neku bitku.

Kad se uzme u obzir da njihovi diplomati za pregovaranje i dogovaranje saveza imaju taj najjači adut u rukama onda me uopće ne iznenađuje činjenica da eSrpski "vrli" diplomati imaju uspjeha u postizanju dogovora koji su za njih povoljni.

Ja tvrdim da je eSrpski diplomati nemaju nikakvo znanje niti talenta za diplomaciju. U takvim okolnostima znanje i talent nisu niti potrebni da bi se sklopio povoljan savez ili dobila bitka.
Tvrdm da su ispodprosječni pregovarači jer su i sa daleko jačom vojskom i savezom dva puta za redom bivali izbrisani te su otajali bez kongresa. Tvrdim da im nije bilo ni potrebno da kroz ovu igru razvijaju te vještine jer je sila oduvjek bila na njihovoj strani.
Tvrdim da su načini na koje oni dolaze do postizanja dogovora poluucjenjivački i da je takav način ophođenja glavni razlog za raspadanje njihova prošla dva saveza (peace i phenix).

Jesu li to karakteristike pravog diplomata?
Jel to jedini način postizanja dogovora?
Jel to cilj članstva u nekom savezu?
Jel se tako mjeri uspješnost diplomacije?

NE

Uspješan diplomat uspije postići dogovor iako se nalazi u nepovoljnoj poziciji. Isto je tako spreman pomoći savezniku sa 200% svojih mogućnosti. Tako se stvara bratski odnos. Nisu slučajno nastala imena poput Broatia , Brozil , Cromania...
Nemojmo se zavaravati da je njihova diplomacija uspješna zato jer je sposobna. Jednostavno , karte su se tako podjelile i takvu partiju igramo.
Na kraju krajeva nije slučajna ni činjenica da je EDEN nadživio 2 suparnička saveza, a koliko mi se čini nadživjet će i treći.

There were always different stories and myths going around in the eWorld. For instance, that Romper is an admin, or even a group of admins, that Serbs are the heavenly people, that Brazilians and Indonesians are the greatest boters of all time, that the Polish have no bot-armies, etc. etc. Some of the myths are true, and some are not, but there is one that is intriguing me, I could even say bothering me, for quite some time now.

It is the myth of the incredible ability of eSerbian diplomacy and the exceptional talent of eSerbian players in this aspect of the game.

The thing is, I don't even know who these alleged players are. Some will say that I'm not supposed to know, and that that is just one more proof of their ability to control their alliance and the game from behind the scenes.

By looking at the map, and the outcomes of recent battles in the offensive against eSerbia, we can only conclude that they managed to pull through once again and defend themselves, and that eCroatia is about to be erased once more. In the decisive moment of the offensive, ePoland and other allies came to their aid, and managed to fend of all three attacks against eSerbia, and take the initiative on all those fronts.

But if we look at the situation from another perspective, we can see that their negotiation skills are not that impressive.

As we all know, ever since the times of president Borkan (respect to Borkan) eSerbia has one of the largest populations in the game. This means they have the largest damage at their disposal, and the focus of this game is waging war for territories.
Every single country in erepublik is always looking for some extra damage for some battle, be it from allies, or from mercenaries.

When we take into consideration that they have this strongest trump card in their hand, in their negotiations and alliance making, then it is not surprising that the “superb” eSerbian diplomats are successful in achieving agreements that are favorable for eSerbia.

I claim that eSerbian diplomats don't have any knowledge or talent for diplomacy. Given their position (damage), knowledge and talent are not needed to make a favorable alliance or to win a battle. They are, in fact, below average negotiators, which was made obvious when they were erased and left without congress two months in a row, despite their own and their alliances superior fire-power. I believe they never had the need to develop diplomatic skills, because they always had sheer force on their side.
Finally, I claim that the ways they achieve those agreements are semi-blackmail, and that this kind of conduct is the main reason for the breaking of their two former alliances (peace and phoenix).

Are these the characteristics of true diplomats?
Is that the only way to achieve an agreement?
Is that the goal of being a member of an alliance?
Is that the measure of success of a diplomatic corps?

NO, it is not.

A successful diplomat is able to achieve an agreement even though he is in an unfavorable position. He is also ready to help his allies with 200% of his capacity. That is how you create a brotherly relation. Names like Broatia, Brozil, and Cromania, were not created by coincidence, they reflect a certain substance.
So, we should not fool ourselves that eSerbian diplomacy is successful because of their abilities. It just reflects the simple fact that the cards (dmg) are dealt the way they are and that this is the hand we have to play.
Finally, it is no coincidence that EDEN survived two of it's opposing alliances, and it's about to outlive the third one as well.
