New Daily Orders Changes

ADMIN CHANGES HOW DAILY BATTLE ORDERS ARE CARRIED OUT BY MILITARY UNITS
First of all, it is clear that Admin has no intention of giving the Commander of a Military Unit the ability to override the orders of the Captains. I suspect that would have been the first change everyone would have looked for, so I am reporting it first.
PRIORITY LISTINGS
Plato has added a 5-tiered priority system for establishing an automatically selected Daily Order.
Commanders see 5 dialogue boxes that give him the option of selecting nations to "Fight For" or "Fight Against". In the case that the Ordered Battle ends, the 5-tiered priority list will automatically select another Battle and that new battle will become the new Daily Order until it is manually changed.
A commander can only manually set Daily Orders 5 times in any day, and no longer needs to wait for the current mini to end.
The way the computer selects a battle from the 5-tiered priority list is as follows (quoting directly from Plato):
"the battle that is selected for the daily order is decided after making a sum of the points. the points are "1" priority = 100 points , "2" priority => 50 points, "3" priority =>25 points , "4" priority =>10 points , "5" priority => 5 points;
- in case there is a tie, the battle that is chosen is the one with the lowest id/the one who started first."
What this means is that Soldiers in an MU will not be solely dependant on the Commander or Captain for the availability of an active Battle in which to fight.
Keep in mind the following important details:
1: The computer may select a RW as the next-highest priority. For MU's that pay moving costs, this may create the need for a policy change.
2: Commanders may need to think twice before setting Daily Orders to a battle that is in its last mini. With a limit of only 5 manual changes per day, MU commanders need to remain in close contact with the NSC to know if an important battle is coming.
3: Soldiers fighting in a currently-ordered minibattle and who are working toward their 25/25 will suddenly get cut off if a Commander changes orders during a minibattle.
PRIORITIES OF DAILY ORDERS
Perhaps the most desired change of all was the ability for Commanders to override the commands set by their Captains. No dice.
"The priorities when an order is added are the following;
Priority 1: order added by the captain, can only be changed by him anytime (with a limit of 5 changes per day);
Priority 2: order added by the commander, cannot change the captain order from that regiment, but he can change the orders from the other regiments anytime if the order was set by him or by the battle priorities (with a limit of 5 changes per day);
Priority 3: order added automatic from the list of priorities can be changed by the captain or commander anytime (with a limit of 5 changes per day for each of them)."
In other words, Captains order take top priority, Commanders orders take second priority, and computer-selected orders take third priority, with Commanders/Captains having only 5 manual changes per day.
The long-and-short of it is this:
1: Plato has limited the number of times Daily Orders can be set manually.
2: Plato has not changed the stupidity of allowing Captains orders to override Commanders orders.
3: Plato has eliminated the bothersome problem of a Captain who sets Daily Orders once and then fails to log in for the rest of the day.
4: Plato has made a change that will increase traffic to Resistance Wars unless Commanders are savvy with how they set Priorities.
5: Nations need to make changes to the kind of information they provide so that commanders can more faithfully set their battle priorities.
I am proud to sport the award I recently received from The Irish Community.
And in honor of this award I just set my Military Unit's Daily Orders to Ireland v. UK.

Plato in his infinite wisdom gives the "captain" position (an elected one) still more importance. Surprise, surprise. Makes sense to keep people involved though...

And you can't kick a captain while he/she is a captain. So basically a commander is not in charge of the MU. A second commander is pointless unless you (the commander) goes inactive and you (the commander) wants the MU to be given to a certain person. The only way to get rid of a popular captain that refuses to follow orders is to kick everyone in that regiment and hope the regiment that the old captain falls into doesn't take over the new regiment.
I go back to PLAN A for Plato. Simplify eRep to the max. Just two buttons are neede😛 1) "FIGHT"; 2) "BUY GOLD". This would streamline the game and allow the admins to make the most profit possible. 😛😛
Good to know

Thank you.

Voted as always and you well deserved the award.

What if Captains only set battles at priority 3/4/5 and Commanders set 1 & 2? It wouldn't be a mechanically enforced rule, but it could be standing policy in your MU. That way a Captain can fill in the gaps (especially around reset) but the Commander can still trump in when needed.
Plato is retarded. This isn't new.
Thx

Interesting news, thanks!
3: Soldiers fighting in a currently-ordered minibattle and who are working toward their 25/25 will suddenly get cut off if a Commander changes orders during a minibattle.
I think this will occasionally happen no matter what the rules are and, given the hoops Commanders have to jump through, it's understandable.
Grats on the award and the nice work for the WHPR too.

It shouldn't matter if orders change.. your fights towards orders should accumulate over the day no matter which battle orders are currently set to.
I think what he is saying is that if someone is fighting in battle A thinking he will accumulate kills toward 25/25, then while he is fighting the orders change to battle B, while meanwhile he keeps accumulating kills in battle A, he stops accumulating kills toward the 25/25.
amiright?
Thanks for the info
Soren is right.
The bitch I have is that the captain trumps the commander every time.
Power to the Captains!!!!
