Join the new world

Recently, we have all learned about the eruption of conflict in South Asia and also from our diligent President Jootli, who could have saved the ePhilippines from yet another conflict with eIndonesia. Whether this attack and thus endangerment of us Piony's by eIndo is intentional or accidental is certainly up for debate, but the safeguard of shedding our eIndo border region of Mindanao to eMalay is something that happened so fast that our president should be applauded with thinking ahead and consulting the eMalaysian President in a swift manner.

Also, Indielfi and a few members of congress got the message out, and as a result were able to successfully defeat the MPP, which further allows us to swap back Mindanao at a later date without consequences. It is however a shame we didn't get to MPP with Thailand this month without a hitch.

Of course, since I was running in Mindanao, this can only mean one thing:

However, I have decided to change gears here, and all hope is not yet lost for me. After talking to Hekter, the current Speaker of the Congress and our durka durka guru, he has informed me that I after going through the enormous 1/6th of a page of rules on the Speaker of Congress, I can still be eligible to run for the Speakership.

So I would like to officially present my platform to the Congress of the ePhilippines to consider:

Follow the standing rules of the ePhilippines Congress: Pretty simple right? I promise not to go all "UBER HAXORZ NINJA" towards the ePhilippines forums, shut down and lock topics still running, barring people from viewing the regular Congress threats, shooting people with lightning from my extra handy stack of lightning bolts, etc. I don't plan on changing much, if anything at all, perhaps asking for the archiving of the duties of the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker, but other than that, a quiet session hopefully.

Updating Citizens/Congress about the Congressional Agenda: I plan to have an article posted either weekly or twice weekly on any major events happening within Congress, or PM congresspeople if that proves to work better. Also, along with my Deputy Speaker, I hope to alert as many of our congresspeople as possible about emergency proposals, proposals that are "for lulz", or (in the case of today), proposals that need to be defeated.

Holding a Referendum on One in Congress: Although personally I am as much of a ONE skeptic as I was a skeptic of SOL, I believe that it is within the democratic process of the Congress of the Philippines to confirm our president's decision to ratify the ONE treaty. I admit, I hold biased views on the subject, but I don't want to influence the outcome or dictate the ballot counting. I personally would like to hold the referendum just to measure the support of ONE by the people's elected representatives. Majority vote in favor, or if a majority are opposed, whatever Congress decides, I shall carry out as the opinion of the legislative house. If the former, we stay in ONE, if the later, I will ask the president or the one after to reconsider our position.

Add some fun!: Although I like the laid back feel of the ePhilippines, lately with the V2 Drama things have started to become a bit dry around here, and the ePhilippines needs a bit of action. Maybe a few national holidays or contests? Maybe a national song, commercial, saying, animal, etc. to create some patriotism? Perhaps even a fake "lulz" constitution with everyone having to tribute 20 cookies to Keegan every day? Something....anything to break the ice around here.


So the choice is clear, the only question left is:
