MAJOR RETRACTION AND APOLOGY: Tiacha and Lowell Kennedy and The Crocodile Tears

RETRACTION:

[I must apologize profusely to Tiacha as it has come to my attention that I was incorrect.

I did not 'guess' that she was faking her tears, I was told that she was by a reliable and unnamed source. I do not disparage anyone who is experiencing stress and ends up having tears. I've already heard a lot of people complain about whining and crying over an internet game and I have to say that whatever her emotions are they are legitimate. While I may disagree with her discontent about who chose to run in her former state, I do not contest that her work in the eUSA is commendable. I wish Tiacha well in her future- I hope she takes a respite and comes back with gusto. For those of you who take issue with anyone crying because of this game I remind you of any possible incidents in your own past of throwing your controllers down or across the room because you failed at a game or didn't get past a boss level- and understand that this game has much more emotional investment.

Sincerely,

Daphne Lilac]

Tiacha and Lowell Kennedy and The Crocodile Tears

Dear eUSA,

I’m rarely compelled to write an article. Even though I’m an expatriate I do read the media here regularly. Of course I’ve noticed the recent drama regarding Tiacha and Lowell Kennedy. From what I understand Tiacha was upset because, Lowell K, a member of USWP, decided to run a candidate in her state and therefore contest her incumbency. It appears that Claire Littleton stepped up and ran against Lowell K in eNJ successfully. (Please inform me if I have the facts wrong)

What I really want to talk about is the reaction regarding her tears on a recent podcast. I’d like to talk about the people that are justifying her own sense of entitlement because of this emotional display.

First of all I’m not here to disrespect anyone. I’m not here to say that Tiacha or even Lowell K. is a horrible person. We all know this is a game and a lot of time is spent shouting about this and defining what that should mean regarding our style of interaction, play, and emotional investment. I can’t seriously deride a person who views the game lightly or someone who plays the game with seriousness. I believe that mostly, we players and citizens have the right to play as we wish to provided we attempt to be reasonable ultimately. I also believe in good sportsmanship and I attempt to uphold this as much as I can even when my own feelings get in the way. It sucks to lose and it sucks when you perceive that the ‘bad guys’ are winning.

Hey, Tiacha, I know how it feels to lose the USWP massively. I think a lot of us do. I’ve seen your comments in Scrabman’s article and you seem to be taking all of this personally. Before I ran for president last fall I asked Roby Petric repeatedly if he planned to run that election and he obfuscated as much as he could to keep his agenda private. I thought I was entering a race of Daphne Lilac v Justinious and Justinious would probably win. I didn’t expect the USWP hordes to vote me off of the e-planet but it happened. Do you know what someone does when something like this happens? You congratulate the winner. Or at least if you decide not to confront the challenge as you did (which is perfectly acceptable) you wish the contestants good luck.

I’ve heard the podcast as many of us have where you dredge up the spirit of drama class from high school. I have to say I don’t see many people saying much against you around town- just a few comments from Lowell K. Sure, he leveled an accusation trying to discredit your efforts about the q5 hospital. I don’t see most people around Eusa doubting your abilities or being ungrateful for the hours of work you’ve put into the country. In fact reading the Eusa forums I can tell that people have the utmost respect for you and truly appreciate you. I agree that they should. But those crocodile tears you pulled off in that podcast were uncalled for. You’re a good person and a great Erepublik player who has made a gross error for PR in this nasty affair. You faked crying to gain the sympathy of all of the players that would sympathize with your fragile emotional plea. I think the few e-women playing this game would take issue with that. I know I do. If you wanted to argue your point about your contribution do so. What need is there to pretend crying on a podcast to gain sympathy? I know life is stressful for you right now and you’re busy. I can totally understand that. Sometimes it’s good to take a step away and realize that you’re stressing out about things that aren’t worth it. I think you should of done that instead of fake crying on a podcast. Fake crying is manipulative and immature.
Let the comments..roll in….
