My dear friends and countrymen,
First off I would like to apologise for the few days I was absent immediately after proposing our MPP with Lithuania, and our contract with PEACE GC. As I was in the wild west of Ireland I had very limited internet access and could do little but check the news and work. I have been back since Monday, on the forums and on IRC, and as TG and Vyse provided informative articles on the wargames I saw no reason to publish my own.
To sum up: Here, active, not pulling a Starks.
Anyway, what have I been up to?

Wargames
You all know by now that by virtue of the final votes in the old forums Ireland has joined the PEACE wargames between Latvia and Lithuania. The games work very similarly to our old games with the USA, in that Latvia attacks the Lithuanian region of Samogitia, and Lithuania, with the support of a dozen or so allies secures the region in the same way as we attacked Rhode Island the USA secured it. To keep up to speed with the games' progress you should check this page daily. Also please consult the MoD's article here. Vyse's bootcamp is also useful for how to "fight smart" here.
Greece and our place in the world
But what about Greece I hear you ask. Well what happened as far as I can see it is that while we were voting on the MPP Greece gained the attacking initiative, and Turkey, somewhat intimidated by the rush of allies Greece was gaining called a halt to their own attacks. Greece has now reclaimed all of her original regions. Was this a waste of money? No, I don't believe so. If you see a guy getting beaten up across the road, and all you have to do to stop it is cross it, then why not cross the road? Money well spent in my opinion.
Continuing our trend of watching out for our troubled friends, I am monitoring the situation in South Africa closely and will be discussing it with the MoD and MoFA this evening.
Communities or bust
The communities scandal was highly disappointing from every angle, and the fact that it still doesn't seem to be over is even more so. I am now looking for a new Minister for Communities. Perhaps one of those shouting loudest about how terrible everything is would step up to the plate? I await your application eagerly as there is a lot to do in this department.

We know Hungarians are supporting Turkey Grainne. The PEACE Alliance is not officially sanctioning it. That is what we reported. Hungary's MoFA (At the time) said they don't mind what Ireland is doing. Nor do the United Kingdom our neighbors and friends.
We will defend Greece as best we can and as an added bonus we have a war open all day today. Meaning nobody should miss the chance to get some fights in. Granted organization is still leaving much t be desired in the way of the IDF but every little helps.

Do us a favor. Go through the posts that have gone unanswered for two thirds of your tenure, clip and paste the myriad of questions that have been asked of you while you were off in the “wild west” unable to upload a few kilobytes of text but quite able to see the screen well enough to click twice, and answer them yourself. 19 Days in and you claim to have a pulse?

Forum = just 116 citizens (not all Irish)
InGame = reg 1288 citizens (all Irish)
Citizens like me have had problems with the last 3 forums, including denied access / password problems and inability to post replies.

Why not take it to the forum?
Because the president doesn't answer questions there either. Except for one liners and setting up his "residence".
Questions are only answered for one hour per week from his wild west bunker after being vetted ahead of time.
But I tell you what, I will prepare my questions, send to Digits and then publish them.

I did not know about account forum problems, that's why I asked.

Are people really stimulated to join the forum while most of the discussion goes on here?
Is there a point? The forum is now dead, thanks to the people who let the old one die, and to the sloth of migration.
If we want to make it live, and keep discussions visible even after a few days, we have to work for it, bring the debate there, and not here, and get everyone who is active to have an account
I have had a few problems with the last two forums, the new one seems ok. But i cant speak for everyone.
These debates should not be relegated to just one place. If they concern the nation or even the world they should be anywhere and everywhere. Judging by the number of comments on many articles, this medium seems to work just fine.
