The first few weeks of eRepublik can be tough on new players. Many people fall into problems such as lack of money, low health or just plain confusion. This guide will show you what you should do day by day during your first week on eRepublik. While we break it day by day, you might be at a different pace, so some information might be on different days for you. However, the following is all the essentials that will hopefully prevent you from messing up on the most important week.

Day One -

The first thing you should do is apply for a job.

One of the first things you should do I find a job. You can find a job by going to “Job Market” under the “Market” tab. When you apply for a job for the first time, you receive 2 experience points (EP or XP for short). Apply for a job with one star, so you will only lose one health per day of working. You work by going to the “Company” page under “My Places” tab and clicking “work”. After every time you work, you gain two XP. So, after the above two tasks, you will have 4 XP.

Upload an avatar. For the first time you do this, you will gain 2 XP, which gives you a total of 6, meaning you are now at level 2.

At level 2 you can train. You train by clicking “Training Grounds” under the “My Places” tab and then chose the “Standard Training” button. Do not try to use any of the “Advanced Training” options yet, as you do not have gold (and perhaps you want to save up once you obtain gold). Every time you train, you gain two XP but lose one Health. Don’t forget to click the “Get Reward” button for an added bonus of skills and XP. On the topic of training, we shall also talk about fighting. Every time you fight, you gain one experience point, but lose 10 health. DO NOT FIGHT until you can cover the costs of food in order to regain your health lost from fighting. This is probably the #1 reason why people fail, by fighting without being able to heal. So fight smart!

It is imperative you buy food when everyday to maintain your Health. You start off at 100, and it is everyone’s aim to keep 100 Health. Press the consume food button at the left to eat food and gain Health.

Day Two -

Four experience points can be received today, two from working and the other two from training. Don’t forget to buy and consume food.

Now that you have begun settling in with the most essential stuff, you should become more aware of what is going on. Newspapers can provide the information you need. While you cannot create a newspaper until Level 9, you should subscribe to the government newspapers. You can find a list of those newspapers at the bottom of this article.

Day Three -

You can get gold once you reach level 5.

Depending on what time of the day you applied for a job, you can quit your job to find a better paying job do to your higher skill. Work, train and buy food. Missions have not been mentioned yet, but I’ll just mention it here. On the left you see buttons under “Missions”. While completing missions does give you some skill points and XP, it is not worth doing this until you have enough money to complete the missions. So don’t even start these until you have a sufficient amount of gold.

Once you reach level 5, you automatically get a treasure map. You can use treasure maps to find gold, by going to the “Gold and Extras” tab and clicking Treasure Maps. Based on previous experiences with treasure maps, I would say the average amount of gold is between 4.5 – 4.75. You also gain treasure maps at level 10, 15 and 20+. However, you cannot exchange gold for GBP or vice versa until level 15.
Day Four -

When you reach level 7, you can now use moving tickets. We have a fortress in London, and highly encourage people to move to our capital. Assuming you started outside of London, you should move into our capital region. If you are living out of London, contact the Ministry of Home Affairs for a moving ticket. To move, go to your “Profile” under “My Places” and click “Change” under the location section. Then move to United Kingdom, London. This move will cause you to lose some Health, but it is important to move to London.

Day Five -

You can create your own newspaper.

Now that you are more adjusted to the flow of the daily tasks (fight, work, train, buy food), it is time to make a step further into the community. Join the eUK Forums. The eUK Forums is where much of what happens takes place. There is also IRC channels where people on eRepublik gather. For more information on the forums and IRC, read this article.

While at this point you could have less or more (depending on battles and elections), we shall assume you are at level 9. This means you can create your own newspapers. Newspapers cost 2 gold, and are used by politicians for making manifestoes, or anyone else who is out to make themselves known. Topics for newspaper articles can cover just about everything, but try to keep things eRepublik related (in most cases, people don’t like it when someone writes an article on real life stuff). Find out more about newspapers by clicking here.

Day Six -

Now let’s assume you are at level 12. At this level, you can create your own company. However, you companies cost 20 gold to make, and another 20 gold for wages. Previously, most people would make companies in their organisations, but now the admins are phasing out orgs and companies can only be made by citizens. But even in the future when you have the funds, it still is risky creating a company. If you want to make a company, don’t do this for a while until you are certain you can maintain it. Don’t forget to fight, work, train and buy/consume food.

Day Seven -

You can join a political party and gain the right to vote.

Your first week is soon completed. Needless to say, as surely you know by now, fight, work, train and buy food. You can buy other items, but it is recommended you gain more strength before buying weapons. A house helps with Health but can be very expensive.

When you reach level 14, you can vote in elections. Voting is one of the most important parts of eRepublik. For more info on voting, read our guide on that topic here. On a related note, you can also join a political party at level 13.
