[Military] A Veteran's Tale

The British Military is one of the oldest institutions in eRepublik. It predates the war module. It is older than most of the countries that now dominate the world map. Throughout its history, it has changed and adapted to each new challenge with the flexibility and strength that is inherent in the British way of life. We have accepted these new difficulties and overcome them: through changes in game modules; through difficulties with supply; through thefts and hacks. The eBritish army has soldiered on with the professionalism and resolve that has come to be recognised as the eBritish way.

Now we face the pitfall that is a lack of confidence in our ability to protect our resources. The tightening grip of legislation threatened to strangle our ability to supply, and some of our members have left to attempt to form their own group. However it is not the nature of the army to be beaten by challenges, or overcome by pitfalls. Like the many struggles we have faced in the past, the struggle to balance safety with functionality; accountability with freedom; has been faced head on and overcome.

With a new leader, and a new system, the army is by far the best equipped military force in the UK. Our troops are better equipped, more organised, and more numerous than any private group can be. This is not an attack on such groups. We understand that many private citizens do not have the level of activity required to join the professional army- or perhaps they simply wish to self-supply and explore the political or economic elements of the game. We applaud those who defend the UK with their own money and weapons, and if they wish to join a community to do so- well every damage point on our side is one more for Britain.

If however you wish to join the professional army, the first and last lines of defence, then the eUK Armed Forces are the only option for you. Currently in the process of switching to a much more efficient supply setup, our troops are armed to do the maximum damage for the UK. We are funded directly by the British state, and can call on their full resources in the defence of the UK. In the past huge strikes were called, and the camaraderie of seeing a wall collapse under a storm of British avatars is an experience that many of the Army Veterans will recall.



From the storming of Sweden armed with IKEA avatars, to the heroic defence of London against the American hordes, the UK armed forces have a proud history. Now once again we are facing a battle for Britain, but this time we have not fought them on the beaches or the landing sites, but instead have been drawing them ever closer to the heart of Britain. Now they draw close to London, our capital, and the time has come to prepare for the strike back. Across Europe a battle is raging, a total war. Whole countries are being wiped in the struggle, and the UK has a crucial part to play.

But for this, we need you. So men and women of Britain, join the Army Today! Together we are strong. Together we can defeat our enemies. Together, we are Britain.
