[IFP] Ronisu for Country President - Collaboration
Ronisu
Greetings. Today I outline my candidacy for the CP of eIreland. I am running on the IFP Party Platform which is as follows:
Democracy, Transparency and Collaboration
Democracy - The government should recognize and listen to Congress as they are the greatest cross-section of the community available using game mechanics. Congress should have the ability to review, scrutinize and pass budgetary measures, however we must urge expedient government. Many in eIreland have expressed a distaste for the slow pace of Congress and they are right, Congress was often too slow to effectively govern. The IFP has a series of proposals on how to speed up the pace of Congressional deliberations while still protecting the idea of representation.
Please review this article for more details
Transparency - The Government should involve the populace in it's thinking and effectively communicate national direction and goals. As plans change, the nation must be updated. There will be no unmentioned tax changes and Summits should be used as a tool and not the rule for communication.
Collaboration - We should encourage cross-party collaboration through the formation of institutions that ensure greater representation, whether that is through Constitutional Reform or other mechanisms.
In addition to the Party Platform, I really want to focus on a Collaboration Government where all voices get a seat at the table. Collaboration in this sense does not mean we all agree all the time, but it does mean partnerships and working towards a consensus. We are a community of retired old-fogeys and of newbies; of politicos and of military gamers; of industrialists and of two-clickers and each of those perspectives is valid and important. We should also focus on getting people where their strengths are, with our military minds and industrialists leading the charge on the Resource War effort, but without alienating the other portions of our Community. We should be One eIreland
The current Government has had strengths and weaknesses, which through honest analysis we can maximize those strengths while minimizing the weaknesses. The military reforms of the Government have been extremely effective, and the Strikes have been great at improving morale and national confidence. Simultaneously, they have resorted to regular attacks on people and communities that disagree marginally. This is not a way to operate in a small community where every person counts and we should work to cultivate stronger involvement of even those that disagree with us. We will continue the military and supply reforms, but instead work to involve the entire community rather than shut people out.
Our Pledge:
Cabinet positions will be offered to people from the entire spectrum of our society, even and particularly members who disagree with some of my policies. We will succeed most if we work to succeed together.
Congress will be acknowledged and used as a deliberative body. We will begin working on a newer, more efficient and more flexible Constitution. This document will be presented for Referendum at least once during the term.
We will infuse the Treasury with funds and continue to work to get additional revenue. I have personal experience as a fundraiser and will bring that to bear. We will ensure that through fundraising and recovery campaigns that 1 million IEP enters the treasury.
We will continue the work of revitalizing the Community and Education programs. A move towards crowd-sourcing some programs and work with Military Units and Political Parties to implement new types of competitions that promote both spheres could be very effective. Additionally, I would like to continue with some of the off-the-wall contests such as a Haiku Contest.
We will expect each ministry will be expected to write an article every week at the least. The current Government had increasing activity from the Ministries over the term, but there were periods where the populace was in the dark. We will work to illuminate from Day 1.
We will continue the work of integrating with Adriatica and improving our involvement in their operations. The MC position will be offered to a capable member of our community. Additionally, a MoD Team of multiple people with a clear MoD Lead will be formed to maximize our Resource Wars performance.
Just as I work to hold the ministries responsible, I trust The People will hold me responsible for these pledges and other events of the term. I will make two personal pledges:
If you choose to elect me, I promise to put my all in the job to work for the success of eIreland. I will work with anyone I can to bring that about.
If you I am not elected, I will continue to voice my opinion but also to continue to seek out opportunities to work with the Government for the betterment of eIreland. You won't see wild accusations of impropriety or mudslinging from me.
My campaign is not "Collaborate, if I Win."
I wish my opponent good luck, though I do hope you will consider voting for me on Election Day. A vote for me is a vote for Collaboration!

A few questions:
How would you manage resource wars?
How would IA be funded?
How would you cooperate with Adriatica?
I believe I covered each of those things in the article above. A MoD Team of the strongest military minds I can gather will handle the Resource Wars. I do hope if I am successful in election that you would consider serving eIreland in such a capacity.
IA will be funded through the fundraising campaigns and treasury infusions I mentioned.
We will appoint a capable MC and work with the regular Summits to advance both the cause of eIreland and Adriatica.
Will the 1/2million iep State Reserve that your party member is ransoming eIreland with be returned to our community if we acquiesce to your demand for power?
what party member has 500k?? enlighten me
you have always been associated with IFP.
http://prntscr.com/b062xy
Was also nice to see you fighting against Ireland while USA orders were to fight for us.
everyone in ireland has been in every party at some time or another, pointt is currently no one in IFP has 500k as sweet said, report things right or not at all.
as for fighting against Ireland, i'll fight where and when i want for whatever country i want, i don't answer to you or anyone else.
And don't count on seeing the cash any-time soon, by the looks of things it will be a long time in safe keeping.
i wasnt reporting anything nog.
but u certainly just did 😁
I said nothing i have not said before, it will be released when the conditions have been met, not before, and the decision will be mine and mine alone.
ur conditions, which will ofc be met if the government is handed over to your IFP party member.
np, we all understand very well o7
sluagh had the opportunity to meet the conditions as well, a change of goverment does not necessarily mean the conditions have been met either.
you sai😛
"Will the 1/2million iep State Reserve that your party member is ransoming eIreland with be returned to our community if we acquiesce to your demand for power?"
you still never cleared that point up, what party or member has 500k?? certainly not me, i'm not in the party or holding 500k - It was just an attempt to blacken the IFP's name with a cheap shot!!
cheap? u took 500k and are trying to ransom the country while threatening it from another.
we're not politicians hun, IFP does not get to distance itself from your actions as their member just because you say so.
we hold IFP very much accountable for not being able to control a rogue member that they granted supreme powers too.
that's how responsibility works.
Actually you'll find i wasn't a member of IFP in a long time, in fact for the last few months of my term as dictator i wasn't a member of any party at all, you really need to keep up to date.
As for threatening Ireland, if i set my mind to do it, it would not be a threat,
have fun while you can, people will soon tire of sluagh and his rule, wait till he gets bored and it all turns sour.
but they will never forget how Nogin the nog handled the State treasury...
If 500k is what it took to get her out of here and get a government in place that actually develops Ireland further, so be it.
"I wish my opponent good luck, though I do hope you will consider voting for me on Election Day." Clearly a total demand for power. Putting the bit of mudslinging aside (Nogin hasn't been in the party since I have been), I will of course work to recover the funds.
that would hold a drop of water if you tried doing it before trying to get elected rather than supporting the seizure of the funds in the first place and then promising to return them if you get elected.
This is the divisive mentality I am targeting. Where have I or the IFP supported this action? Additionally, where have I promised to return them? I do not have control of the missing funds, but will work to effect their return, of course.
Let's stop with the unnecessary division and deception, so that we can work towards a better, more collaborative eIreland.
Ron,
do you support Nogin the nog taking the State Reserve?
or do you condemn it as an act of theft/extortion?
Nogin believes it her responsibility to safeguard the Treasury, which examining the Constitution of the time and the history of the eNation is an understandable point of view. The Government views her as a thief, which has the merit of the money being missing, though she hasn't spent any of it. I believe that diplomacy is needed to recover that money (the evidence of it being untouched lends credence to the idea of it being kept in trust). Calling Nogin a thief has clearly not aided in recovering the money, so I ask you Sweet, what is more important, political roleplay or recovering the money?
knowing who can be trusted is what's important Ron.
eIreland's integrity is worth a hell of a lot more than 500k which is easily replaced.
btw: good job avoiding taking an actual stance on this issue.
Respect your convictions but disagree with your vision. The game has changed a lot since you played before.
The game may well have changed, however my research into our new Brothers in Adriatica showed that Democracy is a valid government option. Additionally, I would concede if I were relying solely on my own knowledge, but I look to involve the best minds of all corners of our society.
voted and good luck o7
Voted.
In the interest of sharing opinions: You claim transparency from day one but one day before the election you are saying "top minds" will be put in cabinet positions. Who? You should know who your cabinet is before you take office in the the midst of the most important strategic event in a while so either you don't know or aren't saying neither of which are good. A lot of the rest seems vague to me as well. I haven't been back too long but from what I have seen the dictatorship has presented a more detailed plan with established leadership roles which I think is necessary for the event coming up.
I like your approach in theory but I think that the best strategy considering how the game works would be to continue with the current government. Best of luck though!
I ideally agree with you, however as I intend to involve people from all parties, including those that oppose me in the election, many of our top minds may not want to give my campaign the tacit endorsement of their names while they support another candidate more. That doesn't mean they shouldn't be involved and relied upon if I should win.
Granted, but if they don't want to endorse you now, what makes you sure they you can get them to be involved if you are elected? If you are going to rely on these people they should be willing to say they will help you regardless of who wins.
Ronisu, when I first came here you were in leadership (I believe you were CP). You did a great job then, and I'm sure you would do a great job now. That being said, Slaugh is already doing a great job now, and I feel pretty comfortable with him continuing his work. Glad you're back though.
Indeed, there are some great improvements to activity, especially military that the Government has done, but I certainly wouldn't feel at home with letting someone run unopposed, and there are some fundamental things that my party and I disagree with the Government on. These have been discussed in previous articles and we will continue to discuss ways we think our community can be improved win-or-lose.
