Greetings all,
I've decided to officially kick off my campaign for Presidency of the Conservative Party. Having served in Congress for two terms makes me experienced in partisan politics, so I thought I could contribute even when the country is being occupied by our enemies.
I firmly believe that the vision and mission of the Conservative Party is the solution for eCanada. We are in the midst of great political turmoil as a result of the apathy of our current government and it is clearly a time for a change. However, before this can be done we need to ensure that the Party is standing on a solid foundation. What I mean by this is that we have to ensure that we have effective leadership governing the party, and I think that I best represent that. Here is what I intend to do:
#1. Make the order in which Congressional Candidates run in be subject to a Party-wide vote.
This is to give Party Members greater power in selecting their Congressional representatives. Candidates will be sorted based on how many votes they receive from other Members.
#2. Create a platform for Party Members to submit proposals before the Executive.
Before Congressional Elections, I want to create a form via Google Forms which will allow Party Members to send in their propositions to the Party Executive for consideration before the official platform is compiled and released. This will give greater power to Party Members when it comes to shaping internal Party policy.
#3. Appoint a CPC Member to be the Party's Presidential Candidate next elections.
If the Party is to distinguish itself as the only viable alternative for eCanada, then we can no longer continue endorsing candidates from other Parties. Instead, I think that the Party should give this opportunity to an individual from within the Party that is selected by other Party Members through a primary.

2) Don't see why a Google Form is necessary, but in favour of the concept behind it 😛
3) The Party is only a few terms old, we don't need to rush anyone or anything into it. If a party members wishes to run, all power to them, but it makes a party look bad to run someone just for the sake of running someone.
4) umm...#CPC on Rizon is active and is the Official Channel of the CPC 😛 It's been up for some time now 😛
Thank you for your comments. I wasn't aware of the CPC IRC channel, but I'll be sure to make use of it as Party President.
I'm admin right now, will be happy to help out whomsoever wins the election with channel maintenance.
Also if nobody in the Party felt qualified or ready to run for CP, then I as President would take it upon myself to run.
Be careful with that, many a party before have been shunned for such repeated actions (a person simply using a party under their control as a way to get on the ballot).
My point was, sometimes a good PP must know when to push forward a candidate from their own party, and when to accept that one from another party is a better choice.

Are you guys sure about your branding? I'm a RL Conservative some of the time but it just doesn't seem to have any appeal or be making a statement in game. Just my $0.0000000002.
