[P&P] Welcoming The New Economic Policy

Economy & politics

President Rufus proceeded with his promised new economic policy, dubbed as Israel Works.
John Rupert Miranda proposed a new weapon tax law a day ago.

My party, Prosperity & Progress wants to create a prospering Israel. In my presidential candidate program I wrote that we need radical tax revisions in order to boost our economy and by this provide new jobs to new and old eIsraeli citizens. Because of this I warmly welcomed the first steps of Israel Works. This is the right track. Though we would appreciated higher import taxes, I have to admit there are more doubts and arguments as I virtually propose higher and higher taxes in the eKnesset discussion and elsewhere. See my rough calculations on tax levels. It seems the president found the right tax level, that the honourable eKnesset willingly accepted. 13 days ago the Minister of Finance proposed different weapon tax law that actually removed the barriers that protected our local sellers. It was accepted 22-6 while the debate on taxes were ongoing. Luckly and wisely the new eKnesset changed the course back to the right track. I hope the debate I encouraged and participated in were part of the softening up of the views of the members.
The proposal was accepted 21-4.
Clear majority and clear sign the country is willing to try out more progressive economic policies!

I'm confident that Israel Works and the new policies will help eIsrael flourish. This is our goal, as the party of Prosperity & Progress.

Prosperity & Progress has a clear vision (read about them) and clear ideas that we stand for!
