OFFICIAL CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE OF THE LIBERTARIAN PARTY

Unless you are a new reader – and hopefully subscriber – to this newspaper, you won't be surprised that I am running for Congress in Wyoming for Christmas. And since there is no Congressional Freeze this month, you actually have permission to vote for me. But, let's face it, whether you have permission to vote for me, or not, the decision who you vote for is ultimately up to you. Not Congress, not the FEC, not the President. Voting is a term of service you entered into when you started playing this game. Only the Admins and the Developers can take it away from you. The choices you make in playing this game – as long as they comply with the Physics of this "New World" – belong to you. If I'm elected to Congress, I will work towards making sure you get to retain these choices and recover some of the ones that you lost in the past.

"But Bruce," you ask. "With the status quo entrenched in Office, how are you going to do that?"

First, I'll listen to your suggestions. Then I'll attend the forums that Congress uses and participate in the threads. Where there is an option that lets you retain your choices in how you play this game, I will propose it, argue for it, let Congress know why this is better for the eUSA and vote for its passage.

"But Bruce," you ask again. "What makes you think you can perform the duties and responsibilities of a Congressman."

In eRepublik itself, not a lot. While I'm not a three-clicker, I am still new to this game, but – with the exception of Mass Attacks in the Military Module from IRC – I believe I have picked up its workings faster than your AVERAGE player. I am also making it a point to participate in every Module that I become aware of.

In RL (yes, that dreaded "real life"), I have an Academic background in the Austrian School of Economics. That means I've read a lot of dry books by Ludwig von Mises , Frederick von Hayek, Murray Rothbard and Henry Hazlitt for PLEASURE and I can say fancy words like Say's law and the Laffer curve. I also have experience in the Software and Legal Industries.

That about covers it. So, if you are interested in relocating to Wyoming to vote, let me know what I can do to make that happen.
