[TC] Once upon a time, a hunter
Tony Clifford
Once upon a time, a hunter journeyed the few kilometres from Bürglen to Altdorf, Uri’s main town.
As he walked through the town square, he ignored the hat of the bailiff, which was placed on a pole.
The bailiff wanted the hat to represent his authority and demanded that everyone who passed should bow before it. Failure to do so was tantamount to treason.
The hunter was arrested for his snub and the bailiff threatened to execute him...
...you know how it ende
😛
Since then, in Switzerland, it was forbidden for a single man to rule above others.

Is this a veiled attempt to stir up some controversy?
Is it? Looks like a parable and some pictures to me.

i think the story ends with you getting executed
😛
I see what you did here...
I like it 😃

They Tell this story in South Africa too 😉
Welcome to the club, hahahahahaha.
[TC] stands for Tony Clifford right?
should be WT 😛
very good + relevant
How arrogant the bailiff! He should have welcomed the hunter and taken him into his home. He should have treated him with kind regard and provided for his needs. Then if the hunter was neglectful of his host the bailiff would be correct to point out that the hunter was a rude guest in the house of one that was gracious. Shame on the hunter that would treat a kind ruler who only sought to bring the best to his guest.
But I suppose Swiss have a different heart and despise anyone that would care for the concern of others.
I would have hung his corpse in the town center, for all to see. Rule with an Iron Fist!
this is the meaning of the story: Swiss are rude and don't tolerate single rulers.
Hey Tony... I'm not as dumb as I look. I gathered the meaning of the story from the beginning. Hence the reason I asked about the "veiled shot" that you are taking at our current CP, or at least that is how I perceived things.
For the record, I am not Swiss either. I have been there though, and found the country, and the people delightful.
Let's agree to disagree here for a second. You disagree with how someone is doing things, and that is fine. You can even voice the dissension out loud once or twice. I'm okay with that. No one should always be a "Yes Man." However, (and this is where we see things differently I suppose) when I tend to disagree with someone else, I don't pout about it and get angry and "take my ball and go home" like a 3 year old. I state my side of the situation, and wait for a response. When I receive said response, I can choose to respond again, in kind, or I can be satisfied with the response and comply. At no point do I get pissy and refuse to be a part of the solution, especially when I am the biggest part of the problem. Just my two cents here.
While it is still a game, there are ways that things are done, and they are done that way for a reason. Also, each person will do things in their own way, and that may differ from regime to regime. The biggest way to help transition is not to be defiant and obstruct progress. It is to get on board with the new person, and be as flexible as possible. I think that everyone can learn a lesson or two from all of this.
I believe that the issues that are arising out of all of this come from this perceived notion that there are no "Swiss" running the country. My answer to that is... So what? There haven't been for months. And on top of that, IT IS A GAME! Who cares, really?
You don't like the way that people are doing things, run yourself, and run things yourself. The easiest way to shut down the critical voice in your own head (and others) is to do the job, the right way. Until then just relax.
The point of my story is that every month Swiss elect a ruler. This is game mechanics and out of anyone's control. The amount of authority give is up to the amount of authority the ruler claims.
You will see in my upcoming article that I do not claim authority over much. I will rely upon congress to vote on resolutions. The public will be asked to consider choices. The only authority I demand is that I be able to get information and input from the staff that volunteered to serve under me.
Perhaps you shall be bailiff next month. You may then give everyone the option to do as they wish. With everyone doing different things I'm sure a lot will get done. 😃
