Treachery on Election Day?

Day 2,510, 18:08 Published in Canada Spain by JonathonEdwards

Admittedly, alliances in this game are changing. There is much up in the air. A certain level of flux pervades the relationship of nations. I myself have little information on how negotiations are going, what direction most nations are headed.

But as a nation, as a member of LETO, we may be about to stab our allies in the back. Aurora is the ‘daughter’ alliance to Sirius (as we in LETO, are the ‘daughter’ alliance to Asteria). And yet, the Secretary General of Aurora – Don Croata – has not only gained Canadian citizenship, but is included in the Foreign Affairs team of one of the candidates for tomorrow’s Presidential elections!

DMV has just released Rylde’s foreign affairs team (although to be fair, DMV was the sole author of this team, as delegated by Rylde, as far as I can tell), and Don Croata – even touted as “the current Aurora SG” – is on it!

What audacity is this? What must this look like to our allies in LETO?

Why are we cozying up to the leader of an enemy alliance? It’s bad enough that he now has Canadian citizenship, but to take such an active role in our government, in our foreign affairs?

Until eCanada withdraws from LETO (and I’m certainly not advocating this), we must not and cannot appear to be playing both sides. One of our strong points internationally is our faithfulness. Our resiliency. Our dependability.

A Rylde – sanctioned Foreign Affairs team which includes the Aurora SG cannot be allowed.

Say no to the Aurora SG in our government.

If our international reputation matters to you - and it does to me – then you cannot vote for Rylde tomorrow in the CP elections.
