Join the new world

Hello there again. So, what’s been happening for the last week I hear you ask (well, those of you who haven’t been paying attention to the battle screens, the shouts and the UK forums anyway 😃). With apologies to those who do read the forums ( much of the below is a repeat of the information already given in the daily announcements there - do sign up to the forums if you can, the link is in this article’s footer), there now follows a day by day account since my last newspaper update. If you’ve already read the daily announcements feel free to skip to the bottom to find a few other items of interest from the week.



Day 1270 - Make Mine a Guinness
Yesterday we won the resistance war in Wales and also won the battle for the West Midlands. So this morning we kicked off in Dublin on Irish home soil - well it was; it isn't now, it's ours. Canada have decided that the UK and the Irish shouldn't have all the fun to themselves and so they have declared the UK their Natural Enemy and will be on their way to fight us tomorrow. The other big war news is the huge battle playing out in Vojvodina, Serbia as I type this - massive amounts of tanking going on there! It's Serbia's last region though, so they're really fighting hard to stay on the map and to gain the initiative back against their attackers.

Day 1271 - The Grapes of Wrath
Today we won the battle for Louth. This means we now have lovely fruits, so all of you in the food production side should notice an increase in production from the extra 20% that will give you. One of our citizens started a resistance war in Shannon against Canada as soon as their declaration of Natural Enemy went through. That is also still being fought as I type. Canada decided to launch their initial attack against the South West of England; also still in progress. Fight hard chaps, and keep us winning! The epic war in Vojvodina yesterday was won by Serbia with the help of lots of allies (including many people from the UK). King Woldy's eurovision irc party this evening seemed to go very well with many people from all around Europe attending. Same time, same place next year?

Day 1272 - War, huh! What is it Good For?
The answer to the question in the title appears to be "commerce" as people eat through not just food but also weapons as we fight hard. Today we won the battle for for the South West of England against Canada. This means we now have the initiative for the next attack. We also moved our focus onto Wexford today in Ireland, and the Irish kicked off a resistance war in Dublin. Both battles are still ongoing right now, and we should know the outcome by the morning. Day 1273 - Romper Stomped
The Wexford battle that was ongoing at the time of the last report was won, and we immediately moved on to an attack on Cork. Also we had the initiative against Canada and had to set off a battle there before the auto-attack kicked in, so Shannon was attacked. The resistance war in Dublin was lost to the "Irish" (for "Irish" read "imported Greek Tank" of World Class level). Also today we were unfortunately "Rompered" in our battles despite the valiant efforts of many, so we have switched focus to helping Serbia in their important battle for the time being. Can't win them all. 🙂



Day 1274 - Protect and Survive
Today the friends of the Irish decided to try and resistance war Louth to take back our lovely new fruits, and the Canadians have attacked the South West of England again. We are still waiting to see where Ireland will hit. And now, today's youtube, to help all citizens get acclimatised to our new region: A Guide to Louth.



Day 1275/1276 - Double Trouble
At my last update point we were awaiting the result of the Irish attempt to resistance war back Louth. They failed. So they immediately launched a full attack on Louth, which also failed. Therefore we still have lovely fruits, and now we have the initiative against them again. The Canadians meanwhile took the South West and then moved on to attack the South East. There was a fair bit of tanking on both sides, but the UK managed to hold on to the South East (with a lot of help from friends and allies) and so we also have the initiative back against Canada as well. The war continues apace, so keep an eye on those orders and keep up the good work on the battlefields everyone!
