[Artela] CP Domestics & Home Affairs Manifesto

Day 1,257, 16:36 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Artela

Once more we find ourselves approaching the elections for Country Presidents across the globe, and once more I find myself presenting myself to you as a candidate for Prime Minister of the eUnited Kingdom. We face new challenges this term on the foreign affairs front, but first and foremost we have the perennial problems of recruitment and retention staring us in the face. Tackling these problems is about achieving three things. Firstly, getting players past their first week of game play. Secondly, giving them the tools to learn and develop their game and become involved with the social side (which is our best retention tool). Finally, to give our citizens themselves direct incentives to recruit and fight to retain newer players. To this end I’ve assembled a list of short, to the point policies as a kind of game-plan for our retention crisis.

Ideas from my March and April manifestos that were started by the MOHA under the last term will be continued (the Library scheme and the Citizen’s Advice Centre), but will be made accessible to those without forums access.

Communications with the nation will be improved with bi-weekly releases from Cabinet as the very minimum, both in game and on the forums, and the main MOHA forum will be made visible and accessible to all so that full use of it can be made for gathering further ideas and for scrutinising how MOHA work is progressing..

MOHA will be given orders to contact all new eUK babies in-game within their first 2 days of eLife to ensure that they know where to get guidance and help and prevent them from eDying young. They will be given an immediate assistance package to help their start in their eLife, and will be shown where to go to get further assistance.

As ‘Fortress London’ is no longer relevant people will continue to be encouraged to move back to the regions, and regions-based competition will be instigated in order to aid retention of players. This shift in policy represents the end of an “emergency” policy which has lasted nearly eighteen months, and a return to regular democracy and accountability in the regions.

King Woldy's IRC pub quiz will be run once a week with "guest hosts" and will offer 100gbp as a prize to the winning team each week. There will also be games introduced ‘in game’ for those who do not have forums access. Additional funds will also be set aside each month for further MoHA schemes.

Recruitment will become a committee, and will be organised in public on the forums. Incentives will be offered to people who get involved in recruitment projects. A Bounty Hunting scheme will be undertaken where when proof of recruitment and retention to a set level is achieved an additional bonus will be awarded to the bounty hunter.

The cabinet will be streamlined down to the three main departments of MoFA, MoD and MoHA to help with focus in these areas. A formalised advisor system to assist the cabinet and provide a solid foundation for government will be introduced..
